selling in game items for cash gets your account a nice ban. perhaps you can ask in the dust forum if you can give them away or sell them for isk. (or see if there are already countless threads from other people in the same situation)
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

If it is a code on a piece of paper I'm pretty sure you can sell it on ebay or something. No ban, it is a real item.
I want to sell it for ISK though. |

https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=72418 a few seconds of google-fu found that, perhaps that answers the question.
http://www.ebay.com/gds/Buying-and-Selling-Virtual-Items-on-eBay/10000000004609906/g.html The codes seem to be valid on ebay, but the redeemed items wouldn't be.

I would strongly recommend that you do not attempt to sell any items for real money as this would be in breach of the EULA:

6. B. Selling Items and Objects
You may not transfer, sell or auction, or buy or accept any offer to transfer, sell or auction (or offer to do any of the foregoing), any content appearing within the Game environment, including without limitation characters, character attributes, items, currency, and objects, other than via a permitted Character Transfer as described in section 3 above. You may not encourage or induce any other person to participate in such a prohibited transaction. The buying, selling or auctioning (or any attempt at doing so) of characters, character attributes, items, currency, or objects, whether through online auctions, newsgroups, postings on message boards or any other means is prohibited by the EULA and a violation of CCP's proprietary rights in the Game. So give the ones who have no interest in DUST a cheaper package without the DUST crap in it, then maybe you wouldn't have to worry about this kind of stuff. Have no clue why you aren't giving those options. The only reason why I'm not buying the Collector's edition is because of the DUST crap. *removed inappropriate signature* - CCP Eterne |

A bit more nicer worded, it would be nice if there was some way to officially exchange those code with dust bunnies for isk or (rather not) aurum. |

But surely if the items haven't been redeemed yet then they are not in game items, and not subject to ccp's RMT rules.
is it any different than me buying a PLEX from ccp / shattered crystal / whoever and selling that for some rl cash / beer to a mate.
CCP have sold me the product and it's up to me what I do with it surely?
I've not got a collectors edition since I'm not that interested in the stuff in it for the money, and we all know the rifter USB ship will die in a fire as it's minmatar, the only worrying thing is what damage will it do to the things plugged into it

PLEX to cash is shady at best and will result in a ban in pretty much any instance. As for the dust codes seeing as they're a code much akin to xbox live codes or DLC redemption codes, which are used to obtain additional content or items in a game I'm not sure about those. Better safe than sorry. Maybe you can convince some poor sod that still plays DUST to buy it for some iskies or trade it for a PLEX or two. |

The EULA doesn't ban resale of unused item codes.
The redemption codes are a physical item that a customer bought, not tied to any Eve account in any way... it's theirs to resell at will.
For example, I can buy a GTC and resell it on Ebay for $10 if I wanted to, that's not against the EULA. |

Item codes are not in game items even if they are used to apply in game items, also you can not cite the EVE eula for DUST514 transactions since the games are bound by different agreements.
That being said, selling items on the forum is a quick way to get yourself into trouble and CCP can close accounts for any reason they see fit.

There are games which will allow it [the trading of in-game items for real cash], hell Diablo3 even has it implemented in the game itself. Why this is so a taboo for CCP, i wonder. They could probably do money out of it by "taxing" the process...

It's a bizarre world where the voucher to buy an item counts as the item itself. Will I get in trouble for selling a GTC to my friend for cash? Will I get in trouble for selling the entire collectors edition box to a friend? What if I accept money from my friend to cover the cost of the second box in a purchase of two boxes?
I know CCP has to draw the line somewhere, so I'm just curious why the GTC is on one side of the line but the redemption code is on the other.
This decision effectively removes the option of selling the collectors edition or participating in a group buy.

Yeah, the dust stuff is completely wasted. Can we get an Account Management option CCP, so we can turn those dust items into spacedust, then transform the meta'ed space dust into some space ship related loot? Much appreciated. Thanks. Hang onto them. Apparently they will eventually open up the market to dust players so you'll be able to redeem and sell them for ISK. I can post on a forum, therefore I represent everyone. |

does it say a value on the redemption code voucher, or does it state anywhere in the product you bought that the code (which is a physical item) may not be sold.
selling the code can cause a problem, however if you 'shipped' the code to someone for real cash i do not see how this can breach any terms, unless it says on the voucher, as you are not taking real cash to give someone a item in game, as the item does not exist until the code is entered therefore no trade occurs on eve or dust514 |
