So I was just wondering which guns are currently considered to be the COOLEST in the ever-shifting shitfitting IIVU ONURAINU TATAKAI DENSETSU metagame, and what hulls are best to stick 'um on. For example, when I last played, the Prophecy and Cyclone were somewhat different, and the Hurricane was considered to be awful after being nerfed etc etc. I did try asking politely in various channels, but was met with ludicrous statements that EVE Online was finally balanced, but we all know THAT is a lie, and lying is mean, so I reported them in hopes that they would be DESTROYED by the ever-benevolent CCCP customer support KGB agents.
I do hope the Drake sucks though, I got royally fed up with being told to fly that boring piece of crap. |

Damps are amazing.
LML Talwars are godlike alpha machines.
Rail Megas, Rail Rokhs and Rail Nagas are the big up LR comps with Pulse fit NavPocs, Arty Lokis and AHACs still hanging around, Tengus are also still used occasionally, Sentry Domis and Cruise/Sentry Rattlers are making regular appearances as well since the Cruise/Domi buff. |

Rails can be run with Meta guns for lower skill players because T2 ammo isn't really used. |

Medium rails are getting a 40% dps buff next patch. BYDI recruitment closed-ish |

The meta is evolving pretty fast at the moment. Rail megas, Domis and Celestis are a strong showing for gallente.
Pressure damage should be the future: boats with sentries to complement high dps. Split said high dps with clever target ranges (shiptype, closest alphabet) to apply pressure while sentries blap in focus. Typhoons, hypes, plenty of options in faction range. |

Also ishtar is looking to become overpowered in a ridiculous amount. It gets a slightly reduced Dominix bonus but it also has 50% mwd sig reduction and ability to split the sentry drops due to speed. |

84 mil sp, getting T2 hybrids out of the way was just pushed back because they used to be inferior to everything else. Shouldn't take long. |

Well, in your case do I recommend that you fly something with a strong tank, because then you can complain some more in local. Perhaps with missiles so you do not have to worry about piloting while typing.
How about you take the Drake? It is not as OP as it used to be and you will explode a bit more often, but this seems just about right for you. Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |

You love to cry. Trust me, you want to fly something with a big tank. Fly the Drake. Players who recommended it to you in the past were not wrong. Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |

If you have something else in mind then say it and I will recommend it to you and make you feel good. You will not have to fear the consequences of your own decisions, but I take the blame for when you lose it and say that you lost it, because I recommended it to you. It is the best offer you will get here in this thread today. Loss is meaningful. Therefore is the loss of meaning likewise meaningful. It is the source of all trolling. |

So shouldn't you be talking to the corp you want to join and asking what their doctrine is instead? http://eveprincessbride.wordpress.com/ |

I was replying to his statement that "chasing FOTM is sad" with a valid explanation why some people could do it - corporate peer pressure. I mainly wanted to see if I had the necessary prerequisites to join in on whatever cookie-cutter army is currently the most popular if need be, so I can have something to offer them if it is necessary to do so. |

Because Eve is about wining and not loosing, because for years the balance was one fotom and everything else crap or useless stuff (Minmatar era lasted for years and were always better at everything you could possibly imagine), and imho fotom in Eve is not ready to be about players skills and thinking but always because of imbalance or bad mechanics.
And you still read random pawns absolutely against balance where players skill and experience should be the changing factor, those pawns are against:
-oversize modules fitting changes
-OGB removal
-balance in between ships of the same class
And the list goes on and on. *removed inappropriate ASCII art signature* - CCP Eterne |
