I took my old fitted Claymore, with 3 links, and 5 T2 220's, 3 LSE's, 2 invulns, 1 MwD, 3 T2 gyro's, and a T2 DC, and had to gut it.
OK, CCP wants to wreck the DPS and make it a missile boat. Fine. So I end up fitting 4 T2 HAM's, 3 links, same mid slots, and then tried 3 T2 BCU's, and a DC II.
Not enough CPU, not even close to enough. About 70 short.
CCP, you want to make this into a missile boat, at least give it enough CPU that it handle the fit of a missile boat. Why give it all these HAM and Heavy Missile bonuses, when it is way way off on CPU. A T2 BCU needs 40 CPU, and this boat can't even fit the damage mod's that a missile boat needs.
And I have only T1 warfare links on it. If I switch to T2's, that eats up another 15 CPU that the ship does not have. Most people viewed Orwell's writings as a warning. The harper regime and the goons treat them as a guidebook. |

You might want to post in the command ship thread. As that is where they asked for the feedback.
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Dude a 3 link ship is not supposed to be a DPS boat, its a trade off DPS or links, the only one that can get away with both and a decent tank is the EOS |

I don't understand.
Why can't I fit everything I want? Are you telling me there are tradeoffs involved? |

Just take an EOS.
EOS can easily reach: -130k EHP -1200 dps active tank (average resist 86%) -740 dps
Yes, all at the same time, with cap booster and mwd. You only need some guy in space in system.
CCP is in a "we love Gallente, we hate shield and missiles" phase atm, just crosstrain and deal with it. |

He did. Fozzie told him to go to meta IV shield expanders and DCU and then it should fit fine even a cheap cpu implant... I guess dinsdale was not happy about the responce. There are no stupid Questions... just stupid people... Winter Expansion new ship request |

I have not checked any responses from a dev in the CS thread. I never expect an actual response from one. Most people viewed Orwell's writings as a warning. The harper regime and the goons treat them as a guidebook. |

hope this helps even if its not the responce you were looking for:
CCP Fozzie wrote:Fitting what you want on a ship is intended to take creativity and require tradeoffs. In your case I advise checking out meta modules. Switching the LSEs and DC to meta 4 and dropping to two BCUs allows your fit to work without any fitting mods or implants, even with T2 links. Add Genolution CA-1 and CA-2s and a 3% cpu implant it works with 3 BCUs.

Yeah, after you tweaked me to his response, I read it. Basically, " if you want to fit something comparable to what you had before, you need implants or a CPU module, and in fact, thanks to you Dinsdale, I am thinking of nerfing the CPU even further."
If I sacrifice the 3rd BCU and put in a CPU module, I am looking at 35.9 extra CPU at the moment (721.9 total available). It seems idiotic that a ship that is designed to boost other fleet members and stay alive as long as possible needs a fitting module, or fitting implants.

Yes, so I lop off 15 of that 35.9 buffer, down to 20.9 CPU left to play with. If you go with Heavies over HAM's, the CPU left over drops to 5.7 units.
And Fozzie says it has too much CPU....wow. Most people viewed Orwell's writings as a warning. The harper regime and the goons treat them as a guidebook. |

We are not talking about a crazy linked Claymore. Read my original post.
All I want to do is fit the same tank as I did before with the 3 links I did before.
But no matter. These guys will do what they are going to do, and no one is going to stop them. Most people viewed Orwell's writings as a warning. The harper regime and the goons treat them as a guidebook. |

Errrr.....the Claymore has been set to do that for a long long time. Now, you won't be able to.
I have realized it is not totally devastating, as long as you don't mind gimping your DPS a bit by putting a CPU in a low slot. Still, I find it dumb that this was required. Most people viewed Orwell's writings as a warning. The harper regime and the goons treat them as a guidebook. |

When you play noob yeah you don't have much of a choice than specialize and now you have better options up to cruiser size vessels than before but Eve being Eve, the best path ever to take for a combat spec character is to always train every race up to BC's and CS eventually, forget 5's spec like logis/reccons etc just train all minimum pre requisites then get back to finish training when the month flavor ship changes.
This is the only way to always have fun, fly whatever is great and fun to play with and leave aside everything unfunny for those not understanding this simple reasoning to have in Eve. *removed inappropriate ASCII art signature* - CCP Eterne |
