And the fight...
NBSI's rattlesnake immediately targets the cerberus of Opus. The cerberus of Opus and the manticore of NBSI exchange blows, and the Megathron of Opus appears to be doing... nothing as of yet.]
The manticore is the first ship to go down... about 40 seconds into the fight. It was unable to tank the cerberus. The NBSI fleet as a whole is slowly moving backwards.
The rattlesnake's extreme rate of fire pops the cerberus about 2 minutes in and the rattlesnake switches targets to the megathron. Meanwhile, the vagabond of NBSI has gone after the enyo of Opus. The rattlesnake is I am guessing out of range of the megahtron, and it is unable to tank the rattlesnake, and is trying to distance itself from the missiles. But THEY JUST KEEP COMING.
The megathron and enyo of Opus pop almost at the same time.
NBSI win with two ships remaining on the field. -----------------------------------------

Sorry, we dont all NPC 23/7 so for some of us these ships are actually expensive.
Thanks for not letting us know about the change of rules btw.
And when people laugh with SMASH cause that Dominix warped out, it's all ok? Isn't the main rule in pvp, if you cannot afford it, do not bring it into battle. In my opinion, it's lame to warp out in such an event.
Although I must admit you are right about the change of rules... That Zealot and Dominix that warped out should have been destroyed aswell, or that Macheriel not. Everyone should be equal.

LeMonde has informed us that there are 'some node issues' and the next battle is delayed. We are already running behind by the way. -----------------------------------------

"And when people laugh with SMASH cause that Dominix warped out, it's all ok?"
Think people laughed mainly because the Dominix had supposedly 7x warp core stabs fitted, not because it ran... ^^;;

Edited by: Galaxion on 29/12/2005 17:43:07 and the fight goes like this:
The crow of AM immediately runs towards the opposition, and the Machariel of EM MWD's up to the enemy, engaging the Tempest of AM, which directly MWD's right past it heading for EM's muninn at POINT BLANK RANGE. The Machariel has to stop it's MWD and turn a 180 in this higgeldy-piggeldy battleground.
First ship to go about 80 seconds in is the jaguar of EM which dies to the crow of AM in a side battle. Now the machariel has caught up to the AM tempest, and the EM muninn completes the sandwich.
2 or 3 minutes in, and the drones of EM have popped the AM crow, and the tempest of AM has finished off the EM muninn and very close range with missiles, while appearing to tank the machariel only a few metres away. Until now the AM zealot has not done much but is now entering the fight to engage the sole EM ship remaining, the machariel. The Mach diverts some fire and its drones to the zealot and nosses the tempest. This looks like a repeat of the MC fight at point blank range with a tanking tempest... but can it tank a machariel?
The Zealot of AM is orbiting at around 40km and hitting the machariel, which now seems struggling to tank both ships. The range between the battleships remains at under 1km.
Update: Now about 5 or 6 minutes in and the ships are still battling it out, the machariel seems to be paying more attention to the zealot than the tempest for some reason, and its tank is holding but i fear only just. Right now as I look it is 5% armour.!
Update2: 7 minutes, and the Machariel pops.
With the same tactics as used against MC, the Tempest of AM tanks the machariel and AM win and progress. -----------------------------------------

did they do that to the SMASH dominix and the MC zaelot aswell?
no, guess the rules have changed.
You sir, need to get facts straight
Our zealot was indeed popped by the devs after warping out
So take your beating gracefully for once ffs

Edited by: Eddie Gordo on 29/12/2005 17:58:04 Firsty AM, like most of the roleplay alliances is actually a PVP alliance just as the 0.0 ones are....fighting styles differ slightly as its not always about territory, but thats where the differences end.
I dont understand why its so hard to believe that an alliance can sc*****together three good pvp'ers
People like MC might do well on contracts and in 0.0, as ALL its members are pvp focussed, while other alliances may be more diverse. But at the end of the day this is all 3v3 so all that counts for nothing. Go AM
Edit : apperently we cant say S.C.R.A.P.E profanity filter at its best eh
Now recruiting

Go BoB! _

[53]
And this is the fight:
the BoB CNR immediately goes after the Wolf of the opposition, and the interceptor of BoB goes in a flanking maneoveur towards the opposition.
Within 60 seconds (this happened to fast for me to kep alt-tabbing into EVE the frigate of NOVA has ben popped by the CNR... and the ishtar after coming under fire from the CNR as well as the eagle. The Megathron of NOVA has MWD'd right into the heart of the BoB fleet, causing them to scatter, while the CNR repeatedly unloads into it as well as the Eagle, and is also tackled by the BoB taranis, which managed to tank the drones of NOVA.
In under 3 minutes, BoB have destroyed NOVA with... no losses. And they progress to fight later on tonight.

A lot of people subscribe to that rule (not me, but I'm always broke). However, "in such an event" imo it is definitely ballsy, and very cool, to bring an expensive ship. We're all excited about the CNR, Rattlesnakes, NGeddon, etc. Yet, when the fight is obviously lost, why not try to save a 1B ship to fight another day? IMO it is really really uncool for these ships to be popped when there was no mention of that in the rules, and in fact at least at some point in the rules there were contradictions about whether warping out would mean a disqual or just counting that ship as a loss. very uncool. If you're going to pop the ships, say that ahead of time.
