I have some alts doing mining missions to build up standings. L4s give bigger LP and more isk bonuses for completing them and a bigger standing bonus, but they take 2-3 times longer to complete it seems. Am I better off to just fly through the L3s or is the standing increase from 4s worth the extra time? |

Blitzing is probably better but trying it out and checking the amount of standing you gain/time spent would give you a defnitive answer. |

This won't be accurate as the higher standings you go, the less you gain per mission, even if you do the same mission over and over again. |

It's perfectly accurate... if you know how to use logarithms. |

I must be missing something: the percentage gain per mission looks exactly the same regardless of my standings. Day 0 advice for new players: Day 0 Advice for New Players |

It's more a percentage reduction of difference between perfect and current.
So 10% increase for someone with 0.0 standing is 1, 10% increase for someone with standing of 5.00 would be 0.5 |

Eh, here you go.
normalized difference = ln(10-starting standings)/ln(10) - ln(10-final standings)/ln(10)
You don't actually have to use natural logs here, and you don't have to shift them back to base 10. Since we're working in logs we're automagically in unitless land and the relative difference of the numbers remains the same no matter the base you choose. But I think it's easier to work with that way.
So you get a normalized difference from 2 to 4 of .1249, whereas going from 4 to 6 would be .1761 -- so 40% more increase in the latter case. |

If anyone wants to actually track this, here's a spreadsheet with which you can do so.
Standings units are arbitrarily defined as (ln(10-starting)/ln(10)-ln(10-final)/ln(10))*100 because it creates numbers we like (ie, not pure decimals). It's crude -- I don't really do spreadsheet UI -- but it would get the job done and let you track whether L3s or L4s are on average a better bet for standings over time. |

Find a station with multiple Level 2/3/4 Distribution agents and fit a Nano Sigil. Run as many agents in that same station at the same time/run as you can hold. Many will send you to the same locations. Some stations have 6 agents or more.
Go for the storyline's to get the standings increase. I think mining takes too long. |
