There is the option to view other players networks. It's pretty pump if I'm honest. I first have to find their command centre and then click it to view their network. I'd much prefer when this option is selected that all buildings are displayed in the same way my own are so I can see where resources are being mined quickly. I'm not overly concerned which buildings belong to which player more whether they are in the way.
TLDR select "view other players networks" shows all building on the planet. |

PI is cool in it's own way.
Be cooler if CCP got off it's collective buttocks and added some more skills so a player can A) get better productivity through skills similar to the way "refining" and "refinery efficiency" work for ores, and B) allowed players more planets per pilot, again through more "skills".

No thanks. The PI market is flooded with enough product already. |

This is a good idea if you consider that it might take much longer training in order to be truly competitive. I would also love to see some skills added that would allow you to put part of your network into shutdown mode without actually destroying it. I love PI and would be glad to train more into it if it became more of a nitch thing. Instead, every one with the since to role a secondary alt or 2 has trained them to lvl 4 upgrades and interaction and is off to the races!
Also, wasnt dust suppose to give us the ability to launch planetary assaults? That would take lowsec PI out of the equation and free up the market considerably. |

How would that take out "Lowsec PI" exactly ? It would only affect the relatively few Constellations that deal with Faction Warfare and not the rest of it.
Besides, the vast majority of PI is done in High Sec.
And thank goodness it looks like that is going to be dealt with this Winter with High Sec POCO's taking the destructible path like Low and Null, as per dev hints at FanFest and elsewhere. |

Player PI setups never leave a planet and that just because there is a setup on a planet doesn't mean the player is active any longer. Also factory and structure placements will not tell you where they are extracting at or give you an idea of what they are extracting. After your first week on a planet you will be setting up your extractor heads all over the planet chasing hot spots and high yield areas.
Viewing other players planets is a minor feature that may give you an idea of how many other players MAY be extracting on the planet and that is about it (you'll have to view other activity markets on the character such as forum posts, killboards, etc.) to determine if the player is active to begin with,. |

What is the Features and Ideas forum, and what is it for?
With the increase in shiptoasting, the Report timer needs to be shortened.

Sigh.
Since you are wanting to know if anyone is already in the area that you want to extract from, you are examining only a tiny portion of the planet anyway which can already be zoomed into to a degree that makes these facilities almost jump off the screen.
It's not like you are searching the entire planet surface for them.
Not to be overly rude, but I'm just hearing whining (whingeing) at this point. |

That kind of stuff in DUST 514 is probably a very long way off. The profile of DUST 514 seems to be fairly quiet atm. I'm hoping DUST 514 doesn't go t*** up as that would be very bad for CCP and EVE Online.
High sec space currently only has indestructible CO controlled by CONCORD while the other areas have destructible POCO initially controlled by Interbus. I was at Fanfest this year and didn't see or hear any reference to POCO being introduced into high sec systems. I like the idea of POCO in high sec as it brings more control of resources and content by the player base but I'm unsure how it could be implemented. Not least the question of how we would be allowed to destroy CONCORD owned infrastructure in high sec without our ships being turned into scrap within seconds.

No.
This concerns EVE players blasting POCO's and placing gantries to build a new one in High Sec, just like currently in Low and Null.
Sorry you wasted all that finger energy.
You didn't hear every single talk at Fanfest, and you obviously have not kept up with the game mechanics changes implemented the past 2 years....at all. |
