the gankers
Getting annoyed that gankers from Code and NO came come into a hi-sec system, flashing red as they are -7 to -10 and happily gank some industrialists. I don't really think they understand that without these members of the community, ore would not be mined which affects ships/ammo not be built and they would suffer because of it because of increased prices.
So I would like to take action.
Don't want isk - got plenty of that, I want ship fits for frig/cruises that would allow me to gank the gankers. Any suggestion on fits? |

Not that you wanna gank gankers... that's great, but concentrating on those worth it makes more sense.
Frigates at gates, scanning ships or the Tornados next to them, or their haulers.
Or interrupt the squads of catalysts that try to gank freighters, using long range high rof turrets.
Your argument about the miners is invalid. If the morons who can't tank their ships would leave, it'd not only make the proper miners (those who do) happier, but if prices rose, others would create mining alts and jump in.
Then we'd see a drop of miners being ganked, because more mining people then actually knew how to play and don't afk or sit around in space without tank. |

The most popular (and effective) ships for ganking are catalysts and tornados. The fits themselves are very simple, highest damage guns, and all lowslots using damage multipliers for the type of guns being used, mid slots are either empty or sometimes make use of tracking computers.
Personally I prefer to use a logi to **** off gankers, since concord does the mopping up anyway, and the gankers gain nothing. It's been doing wonders on the Goons and their ice interdiction, hell the miners usually pay me after the gank fails. It has it's risks and can get you flagged, but damn is it funny to see the would-be ganked miner smacktalking them in local.
If you plan to gank gankers, it's surprisingly easy, since they never tank their ships. Just keep in mind they will have killrights on you unless they are suspect/criminal. |

You won't have to gank them. You can willfully engage them if they are flashy bad guys. If they are just using gank ships, they won't have much of a tank most likely since they are fitted for Alpha. So yeah, shouldn't be too difficult. Just get some buddies, tackle, and have fun. *removed inappropriate signature* - CCP Eterne |

Welp, when you post such silliness as "without these members of the community, ore would not be mined", nobody is even gonna really begin to take you seriously.
You are just weirdly assuming and practically stating, that Null Alliances do not ever mine at all for any reason. |

This.^
The real question you're facing is whether or not you've got the reflexes. Gankers are used to rapid response, and they know where their targets are. You won't know when they're coming, or who their target is, so you're going to need superior reflexes and good intelligence. And a lot of patience. If you try to pre-empt them, you give gankers kill rights on you - Hilarity *will* ensue. You may even get Concordokken yourself, which is a bit humiliating (have done that my own self; I know whereof I speak). If you wait until they're flashy, you've got bare seconds in which to react before concord shows up to spoil your fun.
The good news is that a properly-fit Insta-locking boat with long-range weapons - even a frigate - can pop a gankalyst with ease. *If* you get there before Concordokken happens. Maybe you can try to pop their pods - If you're fast enough, and if they're slow enough or dumb enough to give you a chance to engage or scan them down. Don't count on it.

We understand that. Which is why we are helping to rid Eve of bots and pilots who wish they were bots. So your minerals will be worth more. The primary way we have to distinguish between bots and active pilots is permits. You can send me your 10mil isk for a one year permit if you like.
You can choose to side with the rebels, an unfortunate decision, but one many make ... for a time. If so I think the best method is to sit in the belt/anom near some miners in whatever ship you have for running L4s or incursions waiting for some gankers to come along to attack the miners. Then you get 'em instead! I have 5 different chars that I play. This may be my main, or maybe not. I have no idea. |

When I gank miners,
I know their killboards, I know their fit, I know their entire history. That's before I even undock!
I know what's on field, where they are in relation to my target, everything. That's before I undock.
I have a perfect warp in and exit strategy...no one will be the wiser!
...how?
Because my cloaked alt has everything setup, and if there's someone there "guarding" the miner, I'll know everything about them aswell, and will more then likely go after him and have a corpmate kill the barge.
If a ganker wants a target dead, he'll be in station getting acquainted with his new clone... I'm currently taking bets on the following: - CCP Games becomes EA Games' property. - EVE Online will have Microtranctions everywhere. |
