Assuming skills are not a problem, could I get some ideal fits for a Raven to solo lvl 4s? |

most of the fits I have searched up are people with very low SP fitting a raven to do 4s with another person, I was looking for more of a perfect lvl 4 soloing raven fit assuming SP was not an issue |

Try something like this:
6x t2 cruise missile launcher
1x t2 x-large shield booster 2x t2 shield boost amplifier 2x t1 sensor booster with targeting range scripts 1x large micro jump drive 1x (whatever you want) cap recharge or shield resist
1x t2 co-processor 4x t2 ballistic control system (cn bcs would be better)

And this is why you shouldn't just buy a character without knowledge of how to play the game. Get yourself EFT or PYFA and figure it out.
You skipped the best part of the game.... I bet you get bored in a few days.

Donbe Scurred wrote:Did you really throw down $500 to buy a character that you don't know how to use? while i agree with the statement above, i will still advise you to skip the raven and go for the navy raven instead. seeing as how you seem to have the ISK, spending 1bil more probably won't hurt you. here is a cheap lvl4 mission raven setup:
[Raven Navy Issue]
[High Slots] Cruise Missile Launcher II - Scourge Fury Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II - Scourge Fury Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II - Scourge Fury Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II - Scourge Fury Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II - Scourge Fury Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II - Scourge Fury Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II - Scourge Fury Cruise Missile Cruise Missile Launcher II - Scourge Fury Cruise Missile
[Med Slots] Kinetic Deflection Field II Thermic Dissipation Field II Large Shield Booster II Medium Capacitor Booster II - Cap Booster 800 Adaptive Invulnerability Field II Shield Boost Amplifier II Experimental 100MN Afterburner I
[Low Slots] Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Caldari Navy Ballistic Control System Signal Amplifier II
[Rigs] Large Warhead Rigor Catalyst II Large Warhead Rigor Catalyst II Large Warhead Rigor Catalyst I
it's a little tight on CPU, use implants or upgrade the tank to green or blue if you can't fit it with your skills.

If the conjecture above is correct, that it's a bought character and you dont really know what you're doing....
Buy a navy scorpion. FAR harder to lose. FAR harder, plays all but the same way. Same skills apply.
And if you dont like it, or grow out of it...sell it. Nothing of value was lost. However I wager if you waltz into a level 4 without any idea of what's going on in a raven, something of value will almost certainly be lost |

Loving the idea of a Toon called Earn-It-101 probably being a sold character and the new owner having to be spoon fed a fit for a ship because they cant figure out how to rework a lesser fit themselves.
Earning anything seems unlikely here. ....
I'm expecting a lossmail on that character for a mission fit raven shortly ..... |

The "ideal" setup is probably based on the active-tanked Navy Raven, because of its ability to put out high-volume, focused damage, but you need both in-game support skills and out-of-game tactical skills to make it work. The latter's very important, and it doesn't get passed along through the Character Bazaar.
The base Raven is inherently less than ideal, so it's probably better to fit it out with a heavier-than-optimal tank until you're comfortable with how it flies and fights. Your shield booster depends on how you're more comfortable tanking; use a Large if you intend to run it for longer, or an X-Large if you're comfortable running it in short bursts. Rigs for the base Raven should probably be either 3 Rigors or 2 Rigors/1 Flare, to focus missile damage. And you'll almost definitely need a target painter. Weather you bought the character or not is completely irrelevant, Eve is full of bitter people, they don't need to be vets.
The meta seems to be fit a MJD and use it as a snipe ship, which isn't bad. As stated, a RNI is highly recommended if you can afford it. I personally prefer overheating to shield boost amps, as if you have enough DPS you dont need much time on your tank. None of my mission ships have more than 3:30 of tank, and none have ever died in a mission. I like the Gisb B xlarge, its less plenty tough but less expensive than some of the other ones.
I don't care how many thousands of likes you have, if you have an open slot you're doing it wrong.
Go to eve-survival.org and read the mission reports before you start the missions. You might even want to check out you-tube.

If skills are no issue, there's much better ships to do missions in than a raven (faction or otherwise) cause it's slow.
That said, figure out what mission you're doing and make sure you can tank 500-800 dps on whatever damage types those rats do. then pile everything else into dps and speed.
Contrary to popular belief you do NOT need bling to do level 4 missions. A proper t2 tank will handle anything level 4s can throw at you for long enough for you to kill the high dps ships. X-Type mods on a Raven is just asking to get ganked. Prioritize targets based on their hp/dps ratio, killing the glass cannons first. Your best tank is your guns.
In places where you often need to travel to other systems to do your mission, or fly significant distances between gates inside the mission, a Tengu or Nighthawk might be a better choice. |

I think the MJD is great for inexperienced and/or low skilled characters because it allows them to avoid most incoming damage and get by with little tank. otherwise it is probably better to just sit there and deal with it. otherwise you will probably be wasting volleys and getting reduced benefit from target painters.

with odyssey the raven is much nicer. speed was increased, plus an extra mid slot, also cruise damage buff! I think your tank number is a little overstated, but when starting out bigger can be better. and for sure a t2 fit will work fine. in some cases a tengu is better, but right now the nighthawk really leaves a lot to be desired :< You can trust me, I have a monocole |
