I went AFK for three months. I've come back very recently - the last few days- and am still taking stock of everything. My first impression is that no one gives a **** .
There are multiple systems over 50% that aren't being pushed by either side. Vard is vulnerable constantly and yet no fleet materializes to take it. No fleet conversely materializes to dplex it.
FCs are on comms but are playing other games. Alliances and corps use two day old alts as dplexers. And so it goes. Meta gaming FTW and sov means nothing. |

CCP can't force you to try to kick the living s*** out of the other side. You have to decide to do it yourself.
The funny thing is that you actually get tons of fights out of trying to take the other guy's system as well - which is what the pvp'ers say they want out of FW. Out of the 10 or so times we've tried to do it, we've only been blueballed twice - once by Khan in Loes (but we did get a fair amount of fights out of it), and at the end of the total conquest of our space when we were going for Fozzie's high five.
There is a high correlation between attacking the other side's home systems and lots of pew.

basicly meta gaming is actions outside the involved environment that still have an effect on said environment.
FW example would be having a spy on your opponants comms feeding you intel as they form up to fight you. Its not directly involved in the fight but still has an effect. |

My two cents on the past few months or so of FW in our warzone...
The big Minnie push for all the systems that fell short just before Fanfest burned out a significant portion of the Minnie grunts and energized the Amarr such that we pushed back and even held T4 for a short time which apparently is nearly unheard of for Amarr.
That push in turn fried the Amarr and was combined with the loss of most of Fweddit to null, some large Minnie corps/alliances to I don't know where and several stalwarts such as Zarnak to AFK land.
Thus we have been in a stagnant state since early June or so. There is still a fair amount of solo pvp, small gang stuff and many farmers to chase, but a lot of the organization required to flip ihubs, take out large fleets or push regions just hasn't been there for either side. Read the forums for the reasons but clearly the lack of perks for system upgrades and various broken mechanics underlie much of the lack of interest. Tier 1 in and of itself is not enough of a reason to push sov. The veterans have millions of lp and more isk than we can spend so why push systems?
Maybe attacking home systems works in the CalGal WZ but for the most part here it will just lead to a blob of double boosted Minnie's in firetails or Amarr in hookbills. So mostly it is avoided with tons of Amarr in Sis or Kam and tons of Minnies in Eszur or Auga or Huola.
Still there is enough pvp in non-home systems for those still interested and maybe the old guard will come back or be replaced by some new blood which will reignite the conflict. We all know ccp won't make many(any) changes to fw for the foreseeable future, but we can always hope.
The system contested percentage will ebb and flow with the farmers, etc so until a new force upsets the balance, you can expect to see a general status quo. |

minmatar had about 15 systems vulnerable or almost vulnerable two weeks ago. But nobody wanted to shoot ihubs which is understandable, sun was shining, birds where tweeting, summer and stuff. Now its almost the other way around. The only difference is that minmatar do shoot ihubs. Business as usual, happened before will happen again. eve style bounties (done) dust boarding parties imagine there is war and everybody cloaks - join FW |

Well in a nutshell, some Minmatar organizations are making a push, and Amarr has been going "hey what happened?". While there are still plenty of good fights to be had and lots of good Amarr pilots in the war zone, up until last week the small amount they did control was artificially inflated due to the influence of Caldari farmers more than Amarr plexers. For whatever reason the Amarr aren't exerting much control over the war zone in terms of system ownership.
Fun anecdote however, Orion's Fist after getting kicked out of Sov as part of TEST came to Faction warfare on the Amarr side and promptly got kicked out of their home system within a week ;) |

This - except the cloaky stabbed farmer problem was much worse then and chasing them around all day wasn't worth the effort.
Admittedly most of the annoying stabbed cloaky farmers were minmaderps farming the gal/cal warzone and not you Gals.
Even though everyone jokes about Cal/Gal stabby cloakers - I think Cal/Gal FW has much less of that fail going on than is claimed by some people.

No not really. While there are some Amarr that ship spin in Egg as their primary contribution to the war zone, it's not really accurate to say the militia as a whole doesn't defend systems, doesn't fight plexing fleets, and doesn't live in the war zone. |

Sahtogas got taken today,
WINMATAR. spearheaded this siege combined with the minmatar militia.
As many may be unware, the Amarr lost over 11 systems in the last 5 days, their in a really bad shape, seeing most of there better corps leaving while the remaining fc's went inactive. Tonight probably even more systems gonna be flipped.
Kamela next?

This is not good. Where are all the Gallente tier-3 plexers supposed to plex if the Minmatar are taking so many Amarr systems?

That's cute and all but you don't get to define when the war has ended, as it is obviously ongoing. Moral victories are nice but it seems that MinMil is owning the war currently.
Come back so us 3rd parties have (more) things to shoot at while you prove Amarrian superiority. |

Ever the diplomat Maud.
As for OP. Amarr ain't amarr without a cascade fail from time to time.
And as for hot pocket saying he/we won the war. We won a series of battles and campaigns but we most certainly didn't win any war, otherwise we would not be discussing this.
Answer = more FCs working together to coordinate properly in different systems and/or timezones. Cruicially these FCs need to stay active committed and not burn themselves out or get rage at militia members and leave.
Mechanics have little bearing on this as amarr have been this low with different mechanics in place and higher with current mechanics, don't ***** at ccp this is a matter of player effort.
