Short version: do faction standings override corp standings when it comes to jump clone installation?
Long version: I'm grinding up an alt for perfect refine with a SoE. I know he needs personal standings of 6.67 for that purpose; that's easy. I'm not doing storylines, so his faction standings towards SoE will remain null and won't be factored into overall corp standings
When all is said and done, his corporation will have ~7.8 standings towards SoE (the corporation) but still well over 8 with SoE (the faction). Will anyone in the corp still be able to install jump clones at SoE stations, or do medical installations check standings towards the corporation and not the faction?
I've tried to look this up with no luck, and I'm a bit out of the loop when it comes to the details of how inherited standings work in this case.

When I got my first jc, my corp had a 9.1 standing with a Gallente NPC corp, and that's where I bought the jc. Overall the Gallente faction standings toward my corp were something like -2.5. So I am almost positive that faction standings don't matter and it's all about NPC corp standings to your player corporation. |

Yeah, I should have been more clear on that point. I know that negative faction standings won't override positive corp standings at levels like that. What I'm wondering is whether positive factions standings will override slightly less positive corp standings for the purpose of jump clones. |

I'm pretty sure faction standings do not count for this purpose but not 100% certain.
That said, why not simply take him from 6.67 to 8.0? |

I might just do that. But honestly, grinding L3s -- even for SoE and its relatively profitable LP store -- is seriously eating away at my game time. And will to log in and play. I had forgotten why I stopped running missions in the first place; now I remember with a vengeance. So if I didn't have to in order to keep jump clone access at SoE stations, well, I would stop as soon as possible. |

Unfortunately faction standings do not seem to matter at all when it comes to jcs. I had over 8.00 with the SoE faction but was unable to install jcs with any of the member corps until I raised a member Corp to the needed value .
Hope that helps,
