"Rules" wrote:5. Paying isk for out-of-game services that are related to EVE such as team speak servers or killboards is allowable and you should preface your thread with WTB [service]
The sale method of isboxer is that someone pays $50 to purchase a year-long subscription. This gives them some isboxer keys that can be used on up to 5 computers for a year.
The person who bought isboxer could then "sub-let" those keys for ISK, becoming a service provider of EVE-related services. In this way, I think that purchase of an isboxer subscription (or, rather, part of a subscription) for isk could be allowed under rule 5 of the trade forums, quoted above?
Reported my own post to bring this to the attention of the GMs. Hopefully I get a nice quick reply. Please no offers unless GM confirms in this thread that this is OK. |

Hello Naavis, thank you for your question.
Unfortunately we cannot officially sanction this sort of arrangement or comment on any real life monetary transactions or dealings that take place outside the game. What we can do is point you to our policies that are quite specific on the subject;
EVE Online End User License Agreement 6. B. CONDUCT "You may not transfer, sell or auction, or buy or accept any offer to transfer, sell or auction (or offer to do any of the foregoing), any content appearing within the Game environment, including without limitation characters, character attributes, items, currency, and objects, other than via a permitted Character Transfer as described in section 3 above."
http://community.eveonline.com/support/policies/eve-eula/
You are however welcome to purchase for ISK "out-of-game services that are related to EVE" as is mentioned in CCP Spitfire's rules thread. Any financial transactions that occur outside the game cannot be commented on unless they violate CCP's proprietary rights in the Game.
I hope this addresses your concerns, although we are unable to give you the straight answer you seek.
Yours truly, GM Nova Senior Game Master EVE Online Customer Support |
