Basically, the only ships i think who are capable of fitting gang modules are bc's and command ships. The trick to bc's is that you can only have one of such modules active at any one time, while the fleet command ship variant allows simultaneous use of 3 without backup mods to do so. (i think i saw a mod somewhere called command interface processor which allowed the use of 1 more gang mod per installed processor).
how they work: skills: as an example i'll use Siege Warfare: if you had this skill at V, everyone who's in a gang with you would have 10% more shield. Siege warfare specialist: at V this would grant you a 500% bonus to siege warfare link modules.
modules: Say you use on a your ferox (example) a Siege warfare link - Shield Harmonizing. seeing as i dont know the actual percentage your resistances get boosted, i'll use the example number of 5% for base. If you have the specialist skill at V as per my example, if you turn on this module you'd give everyone in your gang a 25% boost to all shield resistances. If you'd have a maxed out skills, well fitted eagle in your gang, you just made out of a "tough to kill" ship a "concrete god of dmg absorption".
My knowledge of this subject however is still rather limited, but i hope i provided you with enough info to get started :).
if you can't beat 'em......shoot 'em :P |

Right, and I just have to be in the same system as my gangmates to give them the bonus (with the mods active) or do I just have to be in the same grid?

Adding a Command Processor to the meds of your BC, should allow u to fit a 2nd Gnag mod in high slots and use 2 at once. Have yet to test it.

Yes, it works.
Most "Command" bonuses are 2%. So in case of shield harmonizing its 10% bonus to resists at level 5. But you can increase that with further 50% if you train Squadron command V. Max bonus= 15% from Gang Modules. Myself im satisfied at X-specialization4 and gives my gang 12% bonus with Squadron Command V.
Cheerio!
