Paladin gains Lock Range. Win for Long-Range PvE Tachy-Sniper Pally.
Paladin gains +3000 PG and +30 CPU. Win for trying to fit-out a Long-Range PvE Tachy-Sniper Pally.
Paladin loses most of it's drone space. Meh, but at least it has enough room still for two flights of Frigate-killing Light drones to kill PvE scramblers, and up to four utillity slots for Neuts/SmartBombs as needed.
MJD, ok, cool.
I know the Tachy Pally is not exactly the most popular ship, but it DOES work quite well in Null-Sec PvE, and that build is almost universally better now.

I personally welcome Kronos, the new god of highsec. And anyway, it's nice to have a reliable tool for removing anchored highsec POSes now. Save the Domi model! Spacewhales should be preserved. |

Because they're blind as a bat - with good skills and implants Golem using torps has an optimal of 46km which coincides with TP optimal of 45km. Getting 11km extra is useless if you are motionless for one whole minute, plus MJD doesn't just teleport you to desired direction instantly meaning you still need a few seconds to jump. How is MWD not better? It is better by far.
And hell, what rebalancing is that if we're still left with 3 worthless hi-slots having 2 even more worthless bonuses? PvE Golem will be heavily overtanked with that new siege thingy and I just can't see why is that necessary? Atm my Golem is about 98k EHP plus 980 dps omni tank - how's that not enough for silly L4 missions?
So instead of ruining things my proposal is to give her a 25% damage/signature radius/missile velocity bonus... something useful... so we can use Golem with cruise missiles as well and not only torpedos. And get rid of one hi slot or two even in exchange for an extra low - thus giving a true meaning to rebalancing.

Its perfectly fine in null. You'll be in bastion for a MINUTE. Hell, you might even be able to clear ******* SANCTUMS in 2-3 cycles. MJD'ing around between each one.
The Maurauder is going to be amazing. It will also be HILARIOUSLY FUN AS A FLEET CONCEPT. We're winning the war if it says so on CAOD! -á

Using the Bastion module in null-sec, in a ship as expensive as a marauder is not going to be a good idea. True, you could leave the bastion module off, but I'd just be thinking "I'm using this ship wrong" - and that's the terrible thing, this ship actively discourages use in null.
I'm dissapointed.
Well, the boat is ruined for incursions. Some of my friends believe it might be able to internal tank, and I agree on that point, but the effective DPS is ruined, especially with the loss of the web bonus for frigs.
As for being able to run high sec missions, yeah, there will be the occasional mission it will rock. But many it will fail at.
And even if it does do well in high sec missions, rest assured the null sec cartels will nerf mission rewards, or nerf the ship bonuses. Most people viewed Orwell's writings as a warning. The harper regime and the goons treat them as a guidebook. |
