I scanned down a system today, and got strange results. First I thought maybe I'm seening other signatures, but I took this screenshot while I was scanning down the last sig in the system. The red point in my probes range is correct, I found the last site using that - but the what are the remaining random spheres and circles, should they really be there? Even that 2 big circle totally out of my scan range?
Some of the random results remained even after I found the exact location of KZH, and I had to scan the entire system with max 32AU range a few times from different locations to make them disappear.
edit: and on the screenshot, most of the sigs were shown as signal 100%, without a warp icon. Somehow they changes since then, and I was able to warp most of them, except one. The sig shown as IZH-000 on the screenshot didn't wanted to change, I couldn't warp there, or save it's location. |

I haven't tried to go scanning today, and won't until the bugs work out.
I've been in conversation with several people that aren't getting readings updating at all. One showed snapshots of the scans and there were several at 100% and no warp to, others that had warp to... everything said 'combat site' And upon warp to, it didn't give any indication of DeD or anything.
Not too keen on getting my ship blown up for senseless bugs. |

From what I've gathered, the random results are the new system showing all the sites you don't have actively scanning. It seems to act like the old system pre-scan in that it only vaguely tells you where they are and because you're not actively scanning and it tells you vaguely where they are you can't jump to them as you only have a vague idea. The same thing happened to me pre-patch when scanning and switching ships, all scanned sites would go 100% and unwarpable.
They clear up at high-range scan because you're actively scanning the sites and it can remove the vagueness because you have the exact locations already.
Issue seems to be relics of old code interfering with newer, necessarily more intricate code. |

Well, 2 people I've talked to said they ended up in cosmos sites rather than a normal combat site and were in low armor as soon as they warped in, and barely got out by the skin of their teeth.

I was thinking about that too, but check my screenshot. I got three spheres with the same center, but different radius, and one circle with the same center. That has to be one signature (the one I was scanning down), but it makes no sense. And I got similar results today.
edit: another issue is, when I save signatures, and scan them again after DT, I can find them, but they have moved slightly Before the patch, they were exactly in the bookmarks position. This happened yesterday too, but I thought maybe it was a bug in the patch, but it repeated today. The bookmarks I saved yesterday were not in the same position I scanned down yesterday... but I could warp to them, so it's just a display bug in the map interface. |

Everything with the same center is stuff that only one probe is hitting, with varying degrees of uncertainty. I tried clearing the unwarpables with the old spread formation and I got basically the same thing, had to use pinpoint to clear it. I haven't been in a system with enough sites to cause this quite so bad since the patch but I'll see if I can replicate it when I am. |

It all started with anomalies losing their names. I would see green diamonds in space I couldnt interact with and scan results I could warp to blindly .. hey come in and find out what site I am.
Then Combat Signatures started losing their names upto the point where the game wouldnt even tell me the DED level via pop up.
I was in one of the Cosmos systems around Hek and almost had my butt handed to me on a silver platter when I warped into a Cosmos Site.
Hey i like spicing up exploration but this... is a bit harsh. Imagine 00 people warping into a 10/10 blindly :) Hellooo nice to pop you.
Fix please ? .. with rainbow sprinkles on top.

The large spheres showing the approximate location of each signature have been removed. Was this intentional? To show the system's signatures a blanket scan with probes must be performed. |

Interesting, because I have 2 sigs scanned to 100% right now that I cannot warp too.
Was any testing of scanning done after the changes for the patch were made? Because there are so many obvious bugs I can't imagine how none of these could be found.
Edit: Ok, the issue is when there is more than one sig. The first one I scanned I couldn't warp to until I put probes back on it and scanned again. Saw the issue with combat sigs only, wormholes and data sites I can warp to no problem. So no, its not fixed. |

When i start probing ship after downtime I'm not getting any red dot even though I'm getting a result.
I tried probing my other ship to 100%(as i knew where it was) and then got the green square. if i after that pulled probes back to range i got the red dot like i should.
Now if i dock this other ship and undock in another ship and scan again. i get the result but no dot indicating where it is at map.
Something is not right. |

Spheres and rings show but as soon as 3 probes touch the sig and the strength is not over 75% the signature location disappears.
0%-75% point location indicators are bugged (red dots).

Ok, so from a few reports and confirmation. I have currently two further issues that will get fixed: Initial scanning of the system will not show the location of signatures (0m, 0% and nothing visible on map.) Probe hits after this will be fine for signatures.
Combat probing, no red dots are being displayed during this process.
If there is anything else, I'm watching here. I am scanning myself all day today, but so far these are the two issues that people will run into. CCP Paradox | EVE Quality Assurance | Team Super Friends @CCP_Paradox |

This was caused by the changes to how scanning works from yesterday to today, someone that tweaked the 100% strength warpables screwed up somewhere.
Possibly only one then line not working.

You literally have to triangulate without any kind of UI indication. Scanning can be done but it would be 5 times slower even for people that knew what they were doing.

Not impossible, just too much work to be worth it. Now that you mention it, I should go run highsec complexes since nobody else will be able to scan them down.

It helps for me if I select the sigs (with >0%) in the list, then the dots for those sigs will show up, but it does not help to select all at once if there is a subset with 0% in the list. |

Combat scanners are essentially useless now. You get the % if you hit a ship with your probes but you don't get any kind of indicator showing where the result is so you can't narrow it down. If you want to combat scan someone you have to know where they are or try your luck 'hot and cold' style.
The dropdown menu where you can create new filters and clear ignored results sometimes doesn't work at all.
When scanning sigs with core probes and you get a low % result like 2-10% you don't get a red indicator in space so you can't narrow the scan down. This seems to only happen if you hit the sig with only one or two probes.

Nope. Warpto is fine, but....
Initial red spheres on system entry, still missing.
No red dots on signature returns above 0% unless the sig is selected in the probe window.
Red dots @ 0% only show if your probes are currently covering them.

scanning is super messed up atm
http://i.imgur.com/J40fEew.png
i ran this scan 4-5 times in the same spot, trying to get the distance to match the actual distance
as you can see i am inside my own probe result range (on GRID with the targets) with 0.5 AU probes, yet the result is saying 32.99 AU.
