Dimitrix Inkura wrote:How would a Vindi work versus guristas rats? And what fit should use? Operating under the assumption of highsec lvl 4s, it should be fine. I'd likely go for a rail fit as most guristas like to orbit a good ways off. |

i'm not an expert but I believe guristas are best taken on with a shield tanked rail fit. although you can get up to 30k optimal with T2 blasters, their battleships tend to orbit even further out. i have no first hand experience though, so this might be terrible advice.

Neutron gank in forsaken hubs/ gate havens. Fit a couple webs to keep rats at blaster range. Start anom with null, move to spawn epicentre while killing first spawn far orbits. Swap to void and gardes to kill fleeing rats while webbing some future targets. Blap ecm rats as first priority.
4/3 lows 2 web (faction with range) or 1+sebo (scanres) 3 tank, cap Burst Aerator II, utility rig
The sebo could be really better than second web to lock and blap ECM rats faster. Try it; maybe even eccm if it's that bad in practise. My experience is with other faction hubs. |

Do you have a specific fit, like module per module? Thank's though, I am training towards a Vindi |

Someone could assist me with the fine tuning for the job against Guristas. The basics are:
- Neutrons
- Faction web - Sensor booster II / faction web / ECCM II / cap booster / TC II (optimal range) - AB / Invul field II / Kinetic hardener II - Shield booster (pith A large?) - Kinetic hardener (pith B?)
- 4 FN magnetic field stab - 3 Tracking enhancer II
- Burst aerator II - Thermic resistance rig I |

Tried some null gurista last night, (not with a vindicator). Wouldn't do it without 1 ECCM, as the ECCM helps keep your blasters and webs running, where as the sebo just fast forwards the whole kill sequence a couple of seconds if you don't get jammed. ie every jam avoided seems to offer a considerable amount of dps, and range management, where as initial lock, not so much.
The sebo mightn't stop a single npc that gets lucky twice in a row either, ie you may not even get an extra volley off even with the sebo relocking between the jams faster.
I got jammed 2 cycles in a proteus with the skill at iv, and 1 eccm in the 50 odd ships that were in a hidden RP, obviously YMMV with the encounters I haven't done yet.

Like my first post here said, need more input. I guess everyone figured you running forsaken hubs, or similar, so gave advice accordingly. You don't get jammed in those and perhaps some others.. The thick plottens... |

1400+ dps with just guns (void). Enough tank to not die in forsaken hubs.

With today's forsaken hubs, you may want to use Wasp II's instead of the garde's to help kill the frigs but still get good dps from your drones. Strategy is to immediately kill a ship upon warp-in. Approach that wreck while kill the others of that wave. Use your web to hold down the furthest target. You should be able to 4 shot the BS, 1 shot the BC's, and 2 shot the elite cruisers.
Thanks for this, I'll use it once I train up to a Vindi

Yeep what that guy said.. I never even used webs if you approach the first rat they spawn nearly ontop of you and you can blap them fast.. you will use alot of t2 ammo but if you do it right... you can easily hit 50 mil ticks or more |
