- Difficulty: suggested minimal (no new UI assets, no layout changes at all, possibly reusable mousewheel code fragment)
- Benefits: on frequent dscan angle change, advanced scanning
- Drawbacks: probably needs UI focus first
Rationale: Currently you need to hit, fixate, and drag a 8x8 pixel icon to adjust dscan angle.
Behaviour: Variant A only extends on current behaviour by adding mousewheel support to the current angle selector. Similar to any numeric textfield, you can use mousewheel up or down to step the angle up or down. Cursor anywhere in the selector.
Variant B, new UI asset, same dimensions
- Difficulty: suggested moderate (1 basic new UI asset, no layout changes)
- Benefits: see above
- Drawbacks: it looks a little different than before
Rationale: see above
Behaviour: Variant B does away with the 'knob' and the need to grab it. Click anywhere in the continuum and it will snap to the next closest angle. This find-next-neighbour behaviour is already in there today.
Mockup: Mockup Rub1.1 w/ added AU textfield and changed angle selector
Optional 1: Mousewheel support, see above. Optional 2: Do away with the linear mapping of angle to x-pixel coordinates, and stretch the smaller end of the scale making small values more easily discernable. (Not depicted.)
Details, further reading: One could probably leave the knob on top of this for continuity, but that'd obstruct clicks on the smaller angles w/o a stretched continuum.

Suggestion: Probes should be on the map where I dropped them, not in the same position as the last system I was probing. Keywords: Probing, Map
Suggestion: If deleting mass contract it would be nice to be able to select all and delete rather then having to delete each one individually. Keywords: Contracts
Suggestion: A renew contract button so the same contract can just be renewed so I don't end up having to make brand new contracts for each one. Keywords: Contracts Notes: This may not seem like much if only doing 1 or 2 contracts but when doing corp or alliance logistics it can be often hundreds of contracts at a time.
Suggestion: When doing production it would be nice to be able to right click say 5 blueprints click a lab and have them all go to individual slots so I don't have to do the same production menu 10 times in a row. Keywords: Industry, building

- Currently, there are messages in missions, some notifications and convo-requests that block the HUD from working - which is incredibly annoying mid-flight/fight. Just being in a fleet with an open advert spams you *xxx has declined your offer to join the fleet* etc., they shouldn't be exclusive the way they are now. It would be greatly appreciated if those notifications wouldn't deny you control of your ship until you clicked that small *yes*-button.

the screen usually cannot deal with so many windows opened at a time, along with the overview and the chat channels, a more transparent, less space heavy UI, it could be similar to the ISIS UI for example, you could look for it while in space without having to search in a bar at the side of the screen.
3. revamp the navigation interaction:
basing it in how the Survey Scanner works, you could take out the overview from the screen, and focus more in the icons in space than in the overview table. you could even put an effect or something on the player to notice when a ship is a neutral, ally or enemy. the idea is to make more use of the screen and less in the use of tabs and lists

Allow repackaging of ships and modules in CHAs/PHAs
Finding other players' networks in the PI view is still quite hard. I often times try to figure out which planets an Epithal pilot is going to warp to while hunting around, and being able to locate their networks on a planet would be great. Perhaps have a standings symbol or small character portrait next to their command center? I am also a human, straggling between the present world... and our future. I am a regulator, a coordinator, one who is meant to guide the way.

Make production work in a "streaming" mode, at the very least on the output side of it.
When building 10 items, each item taking 1 hour, the first output should be dropped in storage after one hour, ready for transport.
Right now we have to wait 10 hours and only then and after confirmation does the output drop in storage. This step exerts no control whatsoever was to where the items need to go and as such it is a needless exercise in clicking. This will allow people to copy past this in a Excel or into another too, to quickly asses the value of a field.
This option already exists for directional scan result! I hate arguing with static minds that relate everything relative to the status-quo. I'd like some basic regeneration of armor and hull, same on drones, but it should be too weak to tank with. Just enough that after a while your ship works again. No new modules are needed. actualy I was thinking along the lines of mods similar to the shield power relays so you can boost the passive regen, similar to what you can have on shield based ships right now. though agree the default basic regen shouldn't be tankable with |

1. When playing on a small monitor, the chat windows get put into a list that you access with left click. This menu could be greatly improved.
2. You cant check drone hp while they are in bay. Often you want to launch the least damaged drone, and let the others regen shields, but you cant know which one you are launching.
3. Ammo in the market should be grouped by size and weapon type. When I am buying republic fleet EMP M, it is much more likely that I will also want to buy barrage medium, instead of republic fleet EMP L. Ie, the sorting in the market should go Weapon Type->Weapon Size, instead of Weapon Type->T1/T2->Size.
4. When searching for ammo, there is no way to search for all ammos for a given type and size of weapon. I cant do "medium autocannon ammo" or "heavy fury missile" because of the way the ammos are named. Calling the ammo "Medium Republic Fleet EMP" would allow you to search for "Medium Republic Fleet" and come up with all the t1 ammo for medium projectile weapons. Ideally, you could even return results for the t2 ammo when t1 ammo is searched for.
For missiles, name them "Heavy Scourge, Caldari Navy" or "Heavy Scourge, Fury".
5. The ammo dropdown list when reloading in space is not sorted in any reasonable fashion. In some ships, you find yourself carrying a dozen different kinds of ammo. The ammo should be sorted by tech and then name. |
