Suggestion: MORE THAN 100 FITS Keywords: more, than, 100, fits, I, NEED, MORE, SPACE, FOR, FITS, GODDAMMIT Note: Would be nice to give MORE THAN 100 FITS
As a player that loves to help out new players, I find 100 fits pathetically low. It's not even enough to have 2 variants of every ship in the game (considering that there are FAR MORE than 2 effective fittings for every ship in the game, fitting space should be doubled at the least!) |

- Suggestion: Make IGB background default to black, instead of white.
- Keywords: IGB, in game browser, quality of life, ui
- Note: Space is dark, hangars are dark, I play in the dark; the browser window becomes like being a deer in headlights for several seconds.
- Suggestion: Add a Force Refresh button globally to Asset window.
- Keywords: ui, assets
- Note: Inefficient to switch tabs to search and click search to force immediate refresh. Search tab results are usually filtered in a way irrelevant when I need to see a recent acquisition.
- Suggestion: Make Add as First Waypoint a global menu option under Add (as Last) Waypoint.
- Keywords: ui, navigation, waypoints
- Note: I do not understand on what conditions Add as First Waypoint is supposed to appear, but it's what I want to do more than 50% of the time, and it appears less than 10% of the time.
This last one is probably too database and coding intensive to be a little thing...
- Suggestion: "Fill-a-Slot" Fitting Helper.
- Keywords: fitting, market
- Note: I have one mid-slot, 6 PWG, and 17 CPU free. I right click the empty slot and it tells me what module categories will fit, with a link to the market browser, or colour it blue if it's in my Assets already.

Suggestion: Remove things from context menus which can't actually be done on the thing you clicked on. Keywords: ui, context menu Note: Remove impossible options (eg. research on a BPC). Move to bottom/grey out currently irrelevant options (repair an undamaged item). ---
The whole point of a context menu is to provide options that match the context. Make Eve's context menus more context sensitive, it will make the UI less intimidating and annoying. |

Suggestion: A "more info"-like button in storyline mission ads telling WHICH factions you will loose (and gain) standing with Keywords: Storyline missions, newcomer game, standings Note: Accepting storyline missions can lower your standings with opposing factions quite fast, but there is no way to tell by how much, with whom or if it will happen at all. It will "affect your standings" - indeed, but especially for new players this is taken (falsely) to mean "improve", and even for seasoned players it requires an external search and a good deal of math to find out if the pros outweigh the cons. Common sense or even logic won't help you, there is no certain pattern to the missions' standing consequences. This suggestion comes out of a post in a different thread: A question: What do you wish you had known? which is just spot on: You suddenly find yourself with terrible standings and very limited options, and you had no clue. Give us a clue, please. |

- Suggestion: Add an option to the Inventory filters to include or exclude containers (including actual containers, ships, ect)
- Keywords: Inventory, Filters, Containers,
- Note: Stemmed out of this thread on container repackaging issues. You can jury-rig the issue by excluding objects above or below a certain size but that can end up removing things you might want to see. This would allow players a way to avoid accidentally repackaging a container with 500,000 m3 of random modules when they're actually trying to box up a few modules or ships.
- Suggestion: Add a warning when you are about to repackage a container with things inside it.
- Keywords: Inventory, Containers, Repackaging
- Note: Alternatively modify the existing repackaging warning to only go off in the above case since this doesn't make a lot of sense on anything that doesn't qualify as a container (ships, ect). This can be rather confusing to newbies who may think there is a down-side to repackaging modules when no such downside exists. Anyone who's ever had to sort through an entire Station Container's worth of "hanger loot spew" and then gone "where did my guns go!?!" can sympathize. Also the generic repackaging warning is confusing and makes no sense.

Suggestion: Properly working navigation shortcuts Keywords: UI, navigation, shortcuts --- Navigation shortcuts (approach, orbit, keep in range etc.) should work without any mouse-clicking involved for faster decision making. As it works right now you have to hold down the assigned key and then manually click on the target in order for the ship to carry out the command. Clicking the buttons in the "Selected Item" window is often the better choice making the navigation shortcuts redundant. The shortcuts should instead be applied at once to the selected locked target or the item currently in the "Selected Item" window.
Suggestion: Be able to save ship fittings with extra modules in the cargo Keywords: Fitting Note: I have ships I always fly with alternative modules in the cargohold for fast swapping depending on the situation, it should therefore be possible to save cargo modules as a part of the ship's fit.
Suggestion: Be able to remove bounty information from the "Selected Item" window Keywords: UI Note: Can mess up the format of the buttons in the window (make them smaller) |

Suggestion: Allow and expand suffixes in numerical fields e.g 1.5k becomes 1500 if you tab away/ hit enter, etc. Keywords: ui, input Note: You should probably include AU conversions for scanning and [shudders] 'kk' as a suffix. For the less pedantic among us. Swedish people would probably be amused at first if 'kk' became a regular unit in EVE, but kk isn't a unit unless you're refering to kilo-Kelvin though there wouldn't be any use for it in EVE. I'm not sure who started it, but 'kk' became an alias for 'm' as one million is one thousand thousand- makes a tiny bit of sense when you start worrying about long/short scale, such as one billion 'b'' being potentially '***' (short) or 'kkkk' (long), but short scale seems to be the standard and 'b' is fairly unambiguous to EVE players.
Edit: Well, you can guess that there's triple k's there. Nice censorship, CCP, guess that can't be a unit after all. |

Suggestion: Fix EVElopedia entries for items when they are changed in game. Keywords: EVElopedia, patching Note: Can't be too difficult to correct all in one go while you are at it, but is hugely difficult 2 months later when you have forgotten exactly which ships and modules had changes and whether that has been corrected or not. And it looks really silly that outdated basic stats are visible 2 weeks after the patch. See Mammoth for an example |

Suggestion: Reduce or eliminate minimum size limits of UI Elements. Keywords: IU, small screen Note: I frequently have at least one client open in a small window and it creates a lot of clutter. Local is the first offender to come to mind. I like to have a narrow window for it along the left edge of the screen from autopilot to bottom, but at the minimum allowed width combined with the neocom that already takes ~25% of the screen. The next biggest offender is the system scanner. I don't much care for the probing interface being completely in-frame when all I want is again a tall, narrow window for directional scan. Station services likewise gets annoying.
Even on the main client with larger resolution, I find myself wanting to slim down a large number of windows beyond what is allowed.
Suggestion: The two smallest chat font sizes available have very large character spacing, and don't actually get more information for you in the window. Can we get a better font for this? Keywords: UI, chat channel font Note: I usually have 4 groups of chat channels going at a time with multiple tabs in each. The smaller I can get it, the less this obscures my view in space.
Suggestion: The selected items box often reverts back to the default size after being shrunk down, usually after selecting an object with many options such as your own drone. Can we keep it more consistent? Keywords: UI, Consistency
Suggestion: The ship HUD is anchored to the top/bottom of the screen, and forced to stay relatively centered. Can we get free move on it? An anchor like the target list anchor would be fine, centered on the capacitor. Keywords: UI
Suggestion: System Info, Autopilot and Planetary Interaction are now toggle-able in the top left of the UI. I would like to see them movable as three separate elements and individually resizeable. The toggle buttons could be moved to the Neocom. Keywords: UI Science and Trade Institute [STI] is an NPC entity and as such my views do not represent those of the entity or any of its members

Suggestion: DRONE FOLDERS STORED ON THE SERVER or at least for the carriers, it is NOT FUN redoing groups for 100+ unstacked drones. Suggestion: HUD Indicator of "Tracking Camera" status. As it stands, the only way to know if your camera will track an object when it becomes your selected item is to actually click the item and go through the jarring camera animation (which will zoom you in from max range)
Keywords: HUD, Tracking Camera, Shortcuts
Notes: "how do i turn off tracking camera?" has become a huge question in help chats. If players could see a UI change when they hit the "C" key then ISDs would have to field far less of these idle questions. |

Suggestion: Automatically pop up corp apps dialog when you login with an application in 'Invited To Join' state Keywords: ui, corp Note: --- I just dropped from Brave Newbies and applied to Estel Arador Corp Services. I logged back in and was surprised to find I was still in my NPC corp, The Scope. I remembered that you recently added a step to the corporation application sequence, and found what I have to do next. But this is fairly complicated:
A newb has to know to navigate to Corporation > Recruitment > My Applications to accept. I did get a notification, which told me where to look. But I often don't read notifications since who cares about war decs.
Anyway to see the notification you already have to navigate to EVE Mail > Notifications > Corporate.
This is maybe six clicks to find the app if you don't know about it. Plus maybe many more for a hopelessly confused newbie who ends up googling it. You would make his life super simple if you So I suggest that you check if there are any apps waiting for my approval when I log in and pop up the dialog automatically. --- (standby for followup suggestion too big for this thread) Little Things to improve GëíGïüGëí-á| My Little Things posts |

Suggestion: Add a "current station" group when changing the location of your medical clone Keywords: ui, medical clone ---
It seems to be rather easy to quickly acquire a large number of stations available for a pilot to move their medical clone to, with lists numbering several dozen or more in a single small window.
While not exactly a difficult task,, it can be tedious to try and find the station that you are currently in, should you want to move your clone to your current location. This seems to me to have been especially true when dealing with nulsec systems that do not have proper names.
This suggestion is to add a "current station" group above the currently-existing "stations with medical facilities" and "stations without medical facilities" groups. Ransoms are accepted in Isk, Ships, Mods, and Dolls. |

Suggestions: 1. Tidy the "Employment History" tab. Add groups and subgroups similar to the new "War History" tab, like: Year -> Month.
2. An "Expedition" dropdown menu to the top left of the screen, like the "Agent Missions" one. Speaking of... the ability to warp fleets as a whole to escalation sites.
3. A mission counter, like someone else suggested, which keeps track of how far we are from receiving a storyline mission. Also, while we're here, why 16 missions? Was it arbitrary or is there a reason for it? Just asking!
4. The ability to remotely complete any mission which does not involve transport.
5. A trajectory line which shows you, in space, where your Micro Jumpdrive will take you to, when you hover over the module.
6. Animations which show squad leaders that the bonuses they are applying are active; maybe a green aura for yes and a red one for no around the ship.
7. Default "ENEMIES" and "FRIENDLIES" tabs for the overview. The "Enemies" one would show strictly players you are at war with, directly or indirectly. The "Friendlies" one would show only people in your alliance/corporation/fleet. It would make things easier for new pilots trying for a logistics career.
8. Visual effects for EWAR, along with specific alarm sounds for each. For example: Being webbed would cause the edges of your screen to be blurred; warp scrambled/disrupted would add an electrical effect to that; being jammed would make the edges of your screen fuzzy; being dampened would create a tunnel vision effect, darkening the edges; energy vamps or neutralizers would create a red pulsating effect on the edges and tracking disrupting would be a mix of blur and distortion effects around the edges. All of these, of course, accompanied by alarms. And also the option to turn them off from the menu. :) Note: These effects would not apply to the HUD.
9. Colored text for the orders which you can and cannot modify.
10. Please consider another location and/or shape and form for the "Overheat" button.

Suggestion: Make input in Search Text field in the Personal Assets window persistent through session changes. Keywords: UI, Personal Assets window Note: Input field gets cleared every session change ---
When searching for something in my personal assets, any filter put into the Search Text input field disapears when docking/undocking/jumping. This can be rather anoying when multiple parameters are involved. For example I want to look up where my station containers are in Sinq Laison. I type 'Station Container region: Sinq Laison minimum: 4'. Now say the result is zero and I want to just change the 4 to a 3 or 2? Bad luck if I have just jumped/docked/undocked, I have to type the complete string again.... Here I used to have a sig of our old Camper in space. Now it is disregarded as being the wrong format. Looking out the window I see one thing: Nothing wrong with the format of our Camper! Silly CCP......
