So i've been having this discussion with my corp mates when i am able as to what i want my character to do in the future.
at the moment he is training for a bomber for corporation purposes, but after that i have free reign to train as i see fit.
at this present point and time i am a null sec ratter, that's what i enjoy doing, and probably won't find anything else i REALLY like to do. my dilema is what do i want to train into.
my character right now rats gurista anoms in a sentry domi. i have 1.5mil trained into drones, whereas the rest of my offensive capabilities are completely lax.
i have toyed around with going for a strat cruiser, but don't know if i want to spend the extra time training for that when i could be training to make my domi better.
have thought about training for a carrier as well, but most null sec corps/alliance/coalitions frown upon carrier ratting cause it looks bad on the kill boards when you happen to lose it.
ive tried cruiser missiles, i enjoy using blaster fits, but i REALLY like drones. some people hate it cause it's dull. i enjoy watching stuff melt just from putting a set of 5 sentries onto the field.
so my question to the eve community is what say you. continue with my drone love and go for a carrier, try something else, or just make the domi as bad ass as i can and stick with it for the long haul? |

good lord i know it's an open ended game and all, but not one person that looked at this post has anything to say about it???
the reason i posted here is bc i enjoy anoms and want to get into complexes in the future so trying to get a feel of where i should head with my character after the domi is topped off |

Look into the Rattlesnake as an option if you like drones and are unsure about using a carrier in null. |

i would love nothing more than to use a carrier in null, it just seems like a REALLY expensive risk factor flying something that large in null. and alot of null sec corp/alliances frown upon high cost loss mails :D |

This is what I would do if I were you.. You currently live in guristas space, train to make isk making easier. So T2 blasters and Rails, will help with you fleet requirements also.. you know.. the harpy, moa, mega and rokh Train t2 shields and armor. Train both caldari and gallente bs to 4. Then only look at a Cap ship, you can get training plans for these on your forums. You actually lucky at the moment as the alliance PVP requirements will help you ratting.. that's handy.. The thick plottens... |

hmmm....the thick plottens........i've got the t2 shield/armor required skills trained (booster, amp, shield hardner, repper, and armor hardners) deffinently need gunnery training as i spent most of my beginning days training drones....not too far from t2 sentries.....but your idea seems to be the best for the long haul and staying active in the alliance.

Your goal should be a carrier.
Until then, I would suggest you to train skills, that you would either need as requirements for a carrier and skills which you benefit you once you are in a carrier. Such as drone skills, remote repair skills, capacitor skills.
It would make you more valuable for your corp and your alliance in the long aim.
You would be able to assist the corp and alliance in moving assets around, and assist in repairing/maintaining your corps infrastructure, as well as deployments in the case of war or campaigns. |
