Hello People!
So i read around and saw something called COSMOS missions that you can do only once for each race. I thought about doing the Caldari and Amarr ones but I'm somewhat intimidated since I do not know anything about them.
I searched around and found this Amarr guide https://wiki.eveonline.com/en/wiki/Amarr_Cosmos_%28Guide%29 I tried to search more but I always seemed to end up in the same links wether them being here or in the oldforums.
I was hoping some of you could help me out a bit.
1. Are the missions hard?
2. How exactly do they work?
3. Would I be able to complete them in a tengu?
4. Do I need anything special to do them?
5. Are all the systems highsec systems?
Thank you in advanced for all the answers.

1. Are the missions hard?
2. How exactly do they work?
- some of them are security missions, some of them couriers
3. Would I be able to complete them in a tengu?
4. Do I need anything special to do them?
- not really; you should have an AF, a T3 and a hauler
- a scanner alt does help, because
5. Are all the systems highsec systems?
- no, at least not in Caldari space; in Amarr space most of missions are in high-sec
Try this link and run it through Google Translate if you have to.

Thank you for you fast reply! Since the missions are lowsec and hard I'm not 100% sure that I am ready for them. Might have to refine my skills for a bit more
Thank you once again

Holy crap that is helpful! Just a question, I didn't see anything about lowsec systems in the Amarr one. Did you not do them? |

Not all Cosmos Constellations have low security systems and not all Cosmos Agents send you to low security systems.
From what I remember, there were only a few missions that involved low security travel and most of those are in the Caldari Cosmos.
Basically Cosmos missions are 1 level above regular missions. In other words, a level 2 Cosmos mission is like running a regular level 3 mission.
Good luck to you.

Yes, I did all the Amarr COSMOS missions. As far as I remember, there is only one or two of those that involves courier missions through low sec. Nothing dangerous. Mr. Science & Trade Institute, EVE Online Lorebook-á |

1. Are the missions hard? Most of them no, they are piece of cake. I recommend you to finish them in in navy BC or T3, expect EWAR so you will need to deal with.
2. How exactly do they work? Like rest of lvl 3/4 missions, kill this, bring me 10x (XX Item), and mostly courier missions.
3. Would I be able to complete them in a tengu? Actually it's recommended to do it in tengu, it can tank well, and you will be needing to replace your offensive subsystem with the cov ops one because one of COSMOS hub is an island behind low sec.
4. Do I need anything special to do them? My biggest advice for you never ever start doing COSMOS missions when you don't have blockade runner ship with cov ops, you will tend to do a lot of hauling into/ through low sec and losing hauling mission items will eventually make you fail the mission.
Basically COSMOS missions are like chain you start with agents with low caldari standing requirement and you end up in future with other agents requiring higher caldari standing to unlock their missions. failing courier missions because you got blown up in low sec sometimes breaks this chain and you end up with standing you can't progress further for other agents.
5. Are all the systems highsec systems? All of them are in high sec except one which as I said before is in island behind low sec system. "Otomainen"
quick tips for you: 1- don't do the repeatable missions they don't boost your standing so they are not worth the hassle.
2- be prepared that you will face EWAR and especially scrams from frigs in some missions, bring drones/webs anything to deal with that.
3- pirates of "Ihakana" system which leads to the high sec island I told you about are targeting COSMOS missioners so they are gate camping your way just for the lols, also "Otomainen" COSMOS hub has agent will reward you with Michi's Excavation Augmentor Implant which worth 1.3 bill in market so they might get lucky gank you and get this from you.
4- some courier missions will ask you to haul items from/to low sec station so you might want to have cov op alt or friend to make you sure undock safe from these stations safely since sometimes locals enjoy station hugging so much.
5- fair amount of missions will request you to farm deadspace areas to get quest items back, some of them are easy to farm and some of are low chance drop that sometimes you want to hang yourself for doing this, if you have extra isk to spare you can open mission dialogue and right click on the quest item and select find in contracts. some people farm COSMOS mission items and selling them in contracts as main isk income.
6- don't ever ever open dialogue with any of COSMOS agents just to check the description of the mission if you are not prepared to start doing COSMOS missions, the agent will sit in your journal waiting for you to accept it and if you didn't in (10 days?) the agent won't offer this mission again.
7- I recommend you to burn through COSMOS missions in week maximum you will end up with nice pile of isk and rewards especially bonus reward if you managed to do it in the time frame ( bonus reward are actually worth it).
8- use both of these guides when you are doing the missions. http://dl.eve-files.com/media/corp/jowen/Caldari_COSMOS_guide_by_Jowen_Datloran_v1.0.pdf
http://www.scribd.com/doc/16401872/Cosmos-Missions-101 Please be noted that second guide is an ancient guide and the museum is claiming it to preserve it as an EVE history XD

This also means that you should always make sure that you have the goods in question before you accept the mission.
Otherwise you not only have to fight the NPCs to get the loot, you'll have to compete for it with the local farmers.

Thank you all for your helpful replies! I can't write much right now since I'm on my cell but I think that COSMOS is way to advanced for me now. This information will still come in handy when I do decide to do it but thanks for now.

Good luck on your travels. Who are you to tell him or others, including myself, not to do that? If players want to personalize their replies, so be it.
By the way, good luck on trying to gank me.
