Edited by: Apocalypse Solar on 09/01/2006 16:55:45 I am currently doing Deadspace Complexes for a short time and just wondered how long it takes for certain deadspace overseers to respawn after they have been killed and looted.
Is it a set time, related to complex level or entirely random?
Thanks.

it is set for each overseer, in each complex
the first tier overseers in the 2/10 pith complexes seem to take about an hour, while the last overseer in that complex takes a couple. the last structure in the 3/10 serp was something along the lines of 8hrs, and i think the big stuff in a 10/10 would probably only come back in DT

Agreed. Complex farming is the new macro mining.

Edited by: Apocalypse Solar on 09/01/2006 17:58:42 Edited by: Apocalypse Solar on 09/01/2006 17:58:00 Let me make something clear. I am not "complex farming" and I think its pretty naive to suggest that everyone who visits Deadspace Complexes is, sure people go there for the Items etc but I highly doubt they sit there all day farming stuff..
From my viewpoint, I am just getting bored with the belt ratting / missions and fancied a change.
Complexes are one of the better parts of EVE PvE, and I enjoy them immensely but it just annoys me that I go to a complex and theres nothing to kill, or theres no way to advance because the Deadspace Overseer is dead and wont respawn for another so and so hours etc.
I can understand the loot is pretty good, I mean the Personal Effects fetch some quite nice prices, but I think the respawn times are way too long.
Maybe a possible solution is for Overseers to respawn at more regular times but NOT ALWAYS drop the Personal Effects or faction items, but always drop the required keycard to the next sector. Therefore, the complex would be more accessible to the people that seem to use them.
Just a suggestion, but I still feel the respawn times are far too long for complexes.

Agreed, respawns are far too long. I tried to run several of them, but what's the point if you can't finish one, since the keyholder is dead already? I want to get to the end of one, one of these days, but if it stays like this, I'd rather keep mining. At least I can reach a goal doing that. |

i will personally give a cookie to anyone who is clever enough to make a complex running macro. and then if they use it, i will slap them, take the cookie back, and get a GM to give them bancakes instead
