We are about to set up a little care bear hole where we would be venturing mostly in class 4 wormholes.
I was wondering what ships people run in class 4 wormholes.
I know the armor and shield fleets for class 5 and lower end wormholes.
We are trying to find out if you can run them with only 2 people running RR domi's, or 2 rr tengus. Im pretty sure it is possible to run them with only 2 people.
Maybe a rr Raven or something because of the cruise missile buffs.
Ive heard of people soloing c4 sites in pimped nightmares, or maraduars. We were just wondering if there is a cheaper alternative for only 2 people to run them.

The standard is typically 2 remote-rep Tengus, at about 20 minutes per site or so. Make sure your missiles can hit about 90km out (some spawns are up to 110km away), that you're cap-stable running the remote rep, and that your tank can handle about 700 with a remote rep. You'll do fine in the anomalies, but may struggle and have warpouts in data & relic sites. Some fit two large remote reps apiece and deal with the DPS hit with a bit more safety.
Adding a third and fourth ship makes the data/relic sites transition from "hard" to "easy" and kind of boring.
Here's a typical fit for a basic, non-pimped, relatively cheap remote-rep Tengu fleet that is proven to work fine in a 3 or 4-ship fleet. Swap out one HML and the Large S95 rep for two "Pithum A-Type Medium Remote Shield Boosters" for extra tank your first try or two while you get the hang of things. You'll be cap-stable and safer while you learn the ropes.

It will also depend on the affects active in the wh if any you want to play to those affects. for instance in a cataclysmic variable you will want to do armor remote rep and domi's work well carrier support is a bonus if available etc |

It's a decent fit. But the rigs are a waste. There is little point to having a 90+km range with furies when your targetting range is only 81km.
Now if you are willing to faction it up a little, if you swap the BCU's for caldari navy, you free up enough CPU to use the dissolution sequencer sub, giving you the lock range to use the missile range effectively. Otherwise if you leave it as is, I would personally only use one of the rigs (cache partition is cheaper) giving your furies the same range as your lock range. Use that rig slot for a rigor or flare rig.

A 2-3 bill machariel, and a scimi can survive. However the deeps will blow and you better hope the frigates don't pop your drones. 3 people is the minimum really, as far as effectiveness goes. Two machs + scimi. Machs have an RR mod on.
Once you get 3-4 machs you alpha the frigates off the field before they even come into play, and you'll be doing the sites in about 5 minutes. about 100mil/hour per person, when I used to run c4's. |

I heard standard practice is 3-4 RR tengu for safe playing.
though i seen once a fleet of 1x armageddon and 1 x domi + 1 x augoror togheter doing the sites with sentry drones, but looked pretty slow since they sat at distance waiting for targets to come to them.
if you run RR battleships with armor RR you can have 1 or more rigs to boost your remote armor reps.

2 rr tengus can push its tank to 1400 which is perfectly fine for C4. RR domies are good when there are 4 of them. You can always use AB scimi + whatever if you keep clear of neuts and webs. |

Try this. 2 of these Tengus can run all but Sanctums and data/relic sites, no problem. More cap, more targeting range, more tank. Will run you about 600mil. All faction gear is merely to reduce CPU usage. You can swap out BCU for Caldari Navy getting you 27 more DPS and the LSE's for Repub. Fleet's for lower sig radius, but it isn't necessary. If you cap out with this fit, it's because your skills aren't where they need to be.

Thing to note is that the sleepers will shoot 1 ship while neuting a second one from 65ish KM away. One and sometimes 2 ships will be webbed so being able to shoot at range is important. The safest way to run them is 4 RR tengu's, two people dual boxing is how we did them. Or just bring in a cap ship for RR and then any other ship will do. We used a Phoenix for RR while building a carrier. Carrier in a C4 doesn't need to triage, so can be used for dps while RR other ships. The thick plottens... |
