There is a tool for every activity in EVE Online, and many of them are a part of our Fansite Program. Some assist you in fitting your ship while others let you see a characterGÇÖs whole history and skill repertoire. Planning out your activities in advance through the use of tools is very important in cases where one wants maximum efficiency and mining is not exempt from that rule.
There are few activities other than mining that benefit as greatly from having tools to assist both in regards to the type of ore to target, and where to find it. EVE-Mining provides an excellent information database of the various ores and minerals. If you need to know where to find specific ores or you are not sure of their yield, this Fansite is for you. There are also helpful hints and tips on how to fit the larger mining vessels, along with a Mining Timer Optimizer that helps you time when to cut off lasers if the asteroid is almost depleted to switch to another one and maximize your mining yield.
Mining is a solid way of getting ISK income as well as fuelling production of almost everything in EVE Online. The EVE-Mining tool will assist you in maximizing productivity and also collects all of the relevant information regarding which types of minerals are refined from which ores. It is everything an aspiring miner might need in order to get a firm grasp of mining.
There are many more Fansites that might hold exactly what you need to assist you in EVE Online or list the information you never knew you were missing. Take a look; it is almost guaranteed you will find something to your liking. Alternatively, check out the last Fansite that was featured in this thread. The correct follow up feature would be http://www.minerbumping.com/p/the-code.html. In order to educate our high sec mining friends on the legal way to mine in high-sec. |

Pretty much all the information is off due to rebalancing. And the main feature of the site is the timer ^_^ loving the layout too. "Oh look, the cat is sitting in the litter box and pooping over the side again" every time we go through these "rough patches". While it is a way to enjoy the game, i have a negative opinion about this "code" you are talking about. Just another sad way to get some "protection money" out of someone and harm the economy. Don't forget! Miner -> Ore -> Mineral -> Ship -> Your Ship you use to bump! (Bots excluded, hit them as hard as possible) |

that site needs to add a blacklist of known gankers so that individual miners and industrial corps / alliances can set standings to them appropriately. make it easier to spot gankers when they appear in local. |

Nice site, even for someone whose mining consists of killing the occasional NPC hauler.

Correct. But you haven't finished the cycle:
Miner -> Ore -> Mineral -> Ship -> Your Ship you use to bump! -> kill another ship -> demand for mining products. Hooray, I'm l33t! -á(Kil2: "The higher their ship losses...the better they're going to be.") |

I feel a more appropriate section of www.minerbumping.com to link miners to is the Kills of the Week sections. Miner euthanization expert. Ignoring the -¿Mafia scam: Pay us to protect you from us-¿ which is everywhere in EVE and very little knowledge is needed to know you are already protected in hisec enough, the thing about mining info sites is that the info they give are not really helpful as a whole.
All the websites presented gives static information which can be acquired by simply playing the game. If you are looking for info to be a serious miner, you already know other sources of info much better than those, and if you think any of those are of any use, you may not know what you really need to know.
The oldest and more known sources of information like evemaps are far more useful to seek ore, planets, minerals, market information, and, of course, maps.
Most sites cited claim to be useful, but they aren't much more useful than that garbage code presented.
If you pay attention you will see that the reason all the sites are presented is the same: Self interest. |

The "legal" way is anyway concord allows. Anything else is an illegal protection scheme that concord intercedes in if attempts are made to enforce the unlawful tyranny. Paying for rights to which such criminals do not posess the power to grant only encourages an increase of dishonest assertion of might in areas said criminal does not rightfully control. The pirate can honestly promise you no true protection...they will not sit in the belts with you around the clock to honor their commitment to you by defending "their" stake in your business venture. The correct course of action would be to learn to script (even some basic HTML). The fact that you are linking a blog modified as a makeshift website speaks volumes about your credability. |

This 'EVE-Mining' site you are currently promoting isn't very good at all. You would be better off mentioning other existing sites that are better such as http://eve.grismar.net/ore/full.php or Halada's mining guide which is out of date but miles better than this piffle.
I haven't checked the high end info on this EVE Mining site but others have said it is out of date. The two fits for Mackinaws and Hulks may seem great to uneducated but there will be very poor resistances & EHP on them. Good for gankers - not for miners.
The figures listed on the low end chart for best minerals from which ores are mostly incorrect:
Scordite is the best ore to mine for Pyerite - NOT Plagioclase. Plagioclase is the best ore to mine for Mexallon - NOT Kernite. (The main use for Kernite is to complete certain level four storyline missions. It is really too heavy/uneconomic to mine for minerals.) Omber is the best ore to mine for Isogen - NOT Hedbergite.
They got the entries for Veldspar (Tritanium) and Hemorphite (Nocxium) correct.
I'm not sure the timer widget is of that much use either. You can do the maths in your head roughly for how many cycles to leave the lasers running. It's best not to mine the whole of the rock/s anyway and leave a small amount left as this helps them rejuvenate quicker. |

One day business thinking starts to sink in and they see that most of the low cost income comes from miners, multiboxer miners, docked industrialists and such. |

Grismar's data on that page is outdated since the mineral composition change that happened 2009(?) as well. So both alternatives are no alternatives at all. Halada's may provide some good general advice towards the general things to consider when it comes to mining. Just don't consider training for an Osprey
The Quick Reference Sheet would be better, lacking some functionality, though, as those are just images. But anyway, there's so much (even up to date) information for miners out there ... one does only have to find it EvE Infolinks-áGÇô Umfangreiche Sammlung von Links mit informationen ++ber EvE, inklusive Guides und Infos von mir selbst |

There will always be lazy ppp out there that rather use a calculator instead of the head :p
I think so many divergences in data will confuse new miners further instead of helping, so whats the point? |

Why get your info about mineral yield from a website anyways ? You could just get the info on what affects your yield and calculate it yourself.
The real information that needs to be up to the second (or at least up to the hour) is locations and market feeds, which no website mentioned gives.
Learn some excel and you are done looking for info you can get yourself ingame easly. |

I posted a comment on the site regarding (some of) the mistakes you mention, they haven't gotten around to accepting it for posting yet. While it looks nice, it is in fact misleading. CCP Gargant, get your act together and run just a little bit of quality checking on the sites you choose to feature.

I had the impression that it was the other way around: If you leave anything, the site/belt/whatever will take longer to respawn. Could you elaborate a little on this, please? |
