We need a skill that lowers the 1 year cooldown between neural remaps.
I am aware this function is to merely compensate the old background and career on character creation's attribute's setup, yet the one year period causes you to focus on one or two skill tabs and scrambles the other skills trainings, so, if a one year covers 25~30% of the skills and hinders 75~60% of them, a lower period could help to manipulate that 30/60 into a more balanced time wise skill training.
I am not suggesting a remap every month, or half a year, but a 7 days discount per skill level on a rank 5 skill would look quite yummy for me.
It could turn an option to setup your attributes with some benefits and penalties in training time of some skills into an option to fasten your overall training time. - I'm not pissed about noobz asking noob questions in corp channel; I am, however, pissed at noobs who think corp channel is a noob questions chat. - |

I like this idea. Each level gives you 12 days so level 5 is 60 days (2 mths). So max skill would allow you to remap every 10 months.
Another possible skill. Neural Reallocation. Each level allows you to remove a skill & reallocate the skill points. This skill would also be affected by the above skill & you could only use this at max: 5 skills every 10 months.
Or PLEX for Removal of Unwanted Skills You do not get reimbursed for skill points or skill books. R.I.P. Vile Rat |

Omfg this idea is so bad it hurts.
This will cause players to train Battleship to V all over again and then they can use the Skillpoints to train pretty much anything but at max possible SP/Hour.
Need Social Skills maxed? NP instead of going for an all ****** attribute remap you train BS V 2.5 times and there you go with max Social. This is just an example.
There will never be something like this. MAYBE one day far far away you are able to remove skills without any reimbursement but thats it...
By the way: I am posting in a thread where the possible gain would be insanely minimal.

This doesn't sound bad for me, but make it 2 or 3 neural remaps per PLEX.
I just think neural remaps should be something better than an attribute reallocator once a year; and after all, with the jump clones time reduction skill, I don't see why there can not be one that does the same for remaps. - I'm not pissed about noobz asking noob questions in corp channel; I am, however, pissed at noobs who think corp channel is a noob questions chat. - |

And the player base whined about that all the time.
I think they got removed for good and I especially enjoyed spending the gained SP to things that I have been unfavorably mapped to. |

They were gonna do this a couple expansions back, it even made it onto to sisi before the playerbase shot it down in flames and the devs had to do a u turn and abandon the feature.
But a skill that knocks a couple months off the remap timer sounds good to me. |

Alright then, no bought skill training time quickening. But the attributes reallocation cooldown time reducing skill doesn't seem to have any drawbacks: it will require to be train, it won't make attributes exchangeable for ISK or PLEX and will help those chain skills training where not all of them share the same attributes in the long run.
Like I said: moderate not a huge time cutoff, just a month or two discount, enough to avoid getting stuck in a 365 days train queue of two attributes at expense of lowest train speed for almost everything else. - I'm not pissed about noobz asking noob questions in corp channel; I am, however, pissed at noobs who think corp channel is a noob questions chat. - |

The drawback is the same as the Learning skills (that were removed from the game): they're skills that are trained only for the purpose of making other skills some way or another quicker to train. It doesn't really add anything to the game.

As others have mentioned, the solution (if you don't have a pretty firm idea of what you'll be training in the next year) is a balanced attribute mapping. Min-maxing attributes is not required. |

That is my point: turn the "attributes balancer" into a "attributes manager tool via skill training" or something like that. - I'm not pissed about noobz asking noob questions in corp channel; I am, however, pissed at noobs who think corp channel is a noob questions chat. - |

Remove attributes and attribute implants. Skills trained at 2700SP/hr and deposited in to a free SP pool that is capped at 1 mil SP. Then when you want to train a skill you just apply the SP out of the pool. Simple for noobs to understand and not screw up and allows them to PvP without worrying about losing their +3 implants. Nice for us older players that may not be able always have access to Eve due to business trips, military deployments, etc. "tbh most people don't care about removing local from highsec. Dual character training is not an advantage? Being able to train up 2 characters at once on 1 account...
It does and would, as you would have to spend a PLEX to get a remap...
+1 Trade a PLEX for a remap.
I have no idea why this is such an unfair advantage. It just reduces to to train skills. By what, 30% most of the time?

A skill to reduce the remap timer would ultimately be a skill to speed up the gain of SP. We used to have skills like that (the Learning skills) and they were removed forcing CCP to reimburse people the SP they spent on them. To re-add a skill to indirectly speed up SP gain would just be waffling.
Regarding spending PLEX for remaps, that is a tangent to the frequently suggested (and subsequently shot-down) suggestion of selling SP for PLEX. The suggestion is slightly more palatable than outright buying SP but personally I'm in favor of keeping the options very limited for ways that cash or ISK can be used to speed up SP gain.
We didn't used to get remaps at all, the system as it stands is VERY generous. The skill training system in EvE is unique among MMOs because it forces you to apply forethought and seriously consider the cost-benefit analysis of how to spend your remaps based on what skills you expect to train in the following year.

Nice for us older players that may not be able always have access to Eve due to business trips, military deployments, etc. I don't care if they remove attributes (I use a balanced mapping anyways). In fact they should probably just do this to kill all of the impatient, instant-gratification starved suggestions of upping the remap frequency. I feel that putting the SP in a pool, however, changes the gameplay dynamic too much allowing for instant reactive acquisition of skills rather than requiring forethought and planning (even with the 1 Million cap you proposed). I'd be fine if they changed the skill queue from being limited to 24-hours to being limited to 1 Million SP cap worth of skills to train. |
