Hello fellow capsuleers, it's me again! Just have a question about your medical clone. If I were to get podded and had to use my clone to revive my character, would I have to purchase another one? The reason I'm asking is because it is time for me to upgrade. I have the isk to buy a much better clone than my skills require but I don't want to invest if I will lose it with another million skill points to pump into it. Thanks for your answers! |

when u get podded ur new clone will activate and u will need to upgrade ur new medical clone to cover ur SP.
i usually stay 1 or 2 ahead of the current requirements, that way i kno i dont need to look at it for quite a while. |

id wait till u got 250K Sp remaining on the clone then upgrade if ur worrying about puttin isk into a clone that is far beyond the SP requirements of ur next clone upgrade. Do I lose the clone once I'm podded or is it an infinite amount of the clone you purchased? I'm not worried about the isk, its just that I don't want to buy a top notch clone and only use it one time on my **** poor amount of skills. |

you buy one (1). if you are podded you MUST upgrade it back to what you had before you got podded or risk losing SP if you get poded again. |

Each time you are podded you need to buy a new clone. If you plan on getting podded a lot, just buy the clone grade that covers your SP. |

As an additional note, if you stay out of null and wormholes, you are extremely unlikely to get podded. Pods warp instantly, so you usually can get your pod out even if you lose the ship, even in low-sec. (Just select a random celestial and spam the warp button if you get close to exploding.)
You can still lose it if you get a lag spike at a bad moment or something like that, but that's extremely rare.
Null and W-space are different, because bubbles will prevent your pod from warping, which makes pod-death more likely. But in high and low sec, you can almost always prevent it. |
