I just had another prime example of those, a 350 railgun for 14k LP's. If you want to diversify the agent offers, at least do it with worthwhile things that deserve our attention.
Thank you

See sticky thread atop the forum for the answer to that question.

i dont know if it's a rumor or something that ccp plans to do, but i heard they are going to make it so you gain lp for the corp your working for, not just the agent.
if they do that then they could possibly make an "offer list". say every 1-2 days a new offer is added to your list for the corp, that offer stay in the list for the normal 7 days, once it's gone a new one comes in it's place.
they could them make it so that people can take offers without using ALL the lp they have, lets say someone has 300k lp, their offers range from small 5000lp's to 300klp's, then someone with the 300k lp could take a good 15k lp offer like a connection skill book, or a nice 100k or 200k offer.
all i know is a little more choice about how we use our lp would be nice, in the last 3 offers i had from my agent, 2 were for a 3% damage bonus to medium hybrid turrets implant for 15klp, and 1 was for something else that was completly useless to me.

The price of stuff is determined by players, not fixed.
The easier you get something, the cheaper it gets
Skill books for 15k lp is good money right now because its rare. If anyone can just pick it, their price will drop through the floor.

Certain high-value offers are indeed rare, and should be.
However, the vast majority of offers are utter garbage. Most of them should be replaced with reasonable offers with modest ISK value. For example if I accumulate 30k LPs with an agent, I should be able to cash out most of the LPs for an offer worth perhaps a dozen million ISK.
Perhaps a simple diagram explains best.

You seem to forget CCP hates mission runners. Otherwise we might get decent loot. Nice fixed loot tables. The duo of death never seems to fire light missiles but thats always in the can they drop..................

Edited by: Shayla Sh''inlux on 16/01/2006 10:24:26 0.0 ratting = lots of risk + good loot + good bounties
Empire ratting = semi-risky + decent loot
Complex running = lots of bounty + chance for uberloot
Missions = no risk + crap loot + LP's + faction standings + decent bounties
Looks quite balanced to me tbh.

When you mean empire rattingcan you clarify cause there is nothing decent in ratting n empire unless you head into unsafe territories

FALSE
In fact today we have:
0.0 ratting = local gank risk + good loot / bounties Empire ratting = low-risky + lucky/low loot Complex running = lots of bounty + chance for uberloot but only if you are living on golden hour DT period Missions = Risk + crap loot + low LP's + faction standings gain AND loss + lowest bounties in game
I will not argue anymore with people that don't do it all jobs and only assume. Today missions are a comedy. Yesterday I was mine an omber asteroid on level 4 only to have a gain for my losing time with this silly and bad layout missions.

They should go through and query up all the rewards in the game from agents and cross reference them to summarized acceptance counts. I think it will be entirely obvious which ones they should get rid of then.

Yeah this is definately an area that could use some reworking of the basic idea.
Players this, that and whatnot as to whats flavour of the month where isk is concerned, forget that and give practical offerings.
Ships, mods.. dare i say it... they return of the faction mods.....
I don't think im the only one who will agree on this, but in the early days for me atleast, all i realy cared about was collecting lp for the ubber navy bs/cruiser offers...
Now thats come and gone, id love to collect those navy mods.... ______

Edited by: Lyah Moonshade on 16/01/2006 18:53:52 It would be interesting to have a "shopping list" of possible turn ins per agent, i.e. you have 20k LP's and when talking to your agent, you get a list of possible rewards, ranging from 5k to 20k.
Depending on your standing with the corporation, you should get a discount on those offers which could be that with a standing of 6.0 you get 10% discount and with a standing of 8.0 you get a 20% discount on the LP's you have to pay.
Also, the offers you receive should depend on the corporation you work for. Caldari Navy for example should offer you combat oriented rewards, while Lai Dai would offer you more manufacturing or research oriented rewards, maybe even T2 BPC's (which would "soften" the current market a lot).
The LP cost per offer should be reviewed regularly (once per week?) to adjust the most demanded rewards upwards and those in lowest demand downwards.
I also saw the post which encouraged to pool the LP's to a corporation and not to a certain agent. This is a great idea.
Lots of work for you CCP, get going

One thing to keep in mind is that these are offers. Your agent just happened to find that Navy Apoc BPC under his desk. By making a shopping list that makes the offers less random. I am all for getting rid of crap offers, but I don't think that people should be able to just get what ever offer they want when they want. ---------------- OK, so I never got around to making a cool sig. i agree totally
maybe not remove the crap/bad offers, but the crap/useless offers that waste our time, like freed slaves and cheesecake.
maybe they should remove crap/bad offers (like 10k lp for 3 million isk), and just make offers more rare, butonly have good and more usefull offers.

Edited by: Kelador Stormwolf on 31/01/2006 13:13:10 Another thing that should be removed with respect to Offers is agents for reputable corps (e.g. Caldari Navy) requesting contraband - at least from Level 1 Agents who are primarily dealing with newbie players who
a) are highly unlikely to have the skills / equipment to smuggle the contraband & b) unaware of the consequences of dealing in contraband in Empire space (or even exactly which items constitute contraband) and flushed with the thrill of being given their first agent offer, attempt to import 200 nerve sticks to Kisogo
IMO contraband offers should only be made by agents for less 'reputable' corps to players with high standing (i.e. someone you trust - after all, would you just wander up to anyone in the street and ask them to get you some drugs? Thought not. It's amazing half these agents aren't doing time on a prison hulk)

I would agree that the offers stuff needs to be looked at. I am currently working a lvl 2 agent trying to get my standing up for a lvl 3 (almost there too only need about .10 more standings) I have gotten tons of offers from this guy who is in Pator (1.0 sec system) where he wants me to go get him drugs for his poor *****ed out researchers. Since I am not concerned with saving my LP on this guy I would love to spend some of these points I have earned but so far all he has offered me is crappy stuff that I either can't sell due to no market for it, or something sort of nice but he wants me to run drugs for it... and this is a Republic Security agent! Corrupt little tattooed freak! I just want an offer that is at least worth the effort, I don't need a BPC of some faction ship, or some faction module and I don't expect something *that* great for only about 5k lp but come on throw me a fricken bone here.... just something that is actually worth it.

For 30K you can get 2 Basic Implants which is 50-90 million depending on which type they are, and you think "a dozen million" for those LPs is a good offer!?
