Edited by: Mishima on 18/01/2006 04:31:48 Edited by: Mishima on 18/01/2006 04:28:35 About 3-4weeks ago me and Jane Vladmir were camping a gate in Tribute region on 2x interceptors.
A freighter warps in on us and jumps so jump after it and plan on locking, scrambling killin/ransoming it.
this is what happened -> Movie
Watch the the first 1 and a half minute!
This is a fraps from Jane's screen, I wasn't frapsing but I couldn't lock either.
For those who couldn't make anything out of this super-quality video that's two interceptors trying to lock an Obelisk (freither) without luck.
I petitioned this and included a link to this movie but I never got an answer.
Are freighters supposed to automaticly have tackler immunity!?
Please explain!

That's a shocking codec. Remember, most people who play EVE have more than dial-up so you can use a high quality codec
I was under the impression that freighters were immune to EW. But then again I'm just a simple noob and I could be wrong.
Either way, that doesn't exaplin why you couldn't get a lock. It doesn't seem like you were lagging either.

Edited by: Mishima on 18/01/2006 04:40:38 The video came out better but i think the uploading process demanded the crappy quality. Not sure tho... ask jane.

No, freighters don't have slots.

The quality of the video is bit horrible...
..but we're not discussing about that anyway. Freighter doesn't have any slots at all for fitting modules. I find that weird that inty couldn't get a lock on it. --------- Please reduce your signature radius to be below 24.000 bytes - Jacques' Right, after I train my inty to lvl 5

While it is an odd bug, to be sure, you guys are trying to pick on defenseless freighters, and apaprently found the Mahatmas Ghandi of defenseless freighters - unbreakable passive resistance.
Sorry, no sympathy here. [urll=http://photobucket.com/albums/v323/ShadowDragon8685/?action=view¤t=Hauler.jpg]My Sunday Indy[/url] |

Any way to get a GM to see this?
Looks like they are ignoring my petition.

GMs ignore your petition since "nothing bad happened"
if a freighter was killed and filed a petition, then they'd seriously look into that. But since nobody lost anything, everybody should be happy

Did the freighter pilot log off on the jump-in?
Guessing it could be some sort of weird conflict/bug between immunity timer and the automatic warp out on disconnect o.O;

I find this the most likely explanition for it.

I have a petition in the queue, about 4 or 5 days old. i suspect it's being dealt with, or will be once they get to it. and if they don't, there's a reason, adn i shall wait a couple of weeks, and simply send an email. posting on the forums may not be the best idea for this

Are you stupid or did you just miss the news post about a petition queue 4000 deep?

Edited by: Taihira on 18/01/2006 06:22:02 I'm pretty certain fraps is'nt a recognised form of evidence.
are you reporting this as a bug, in which case, you're not going to get a reply (they just do on the pile of "to look at", I think), or is this petitioning it in "whaaa, we did'nt get to kill one freighter, our killboard scores are ruined!"?
I'm pretty certain the GMs don't refund you for failing to kill someone.
(edited to make bugs clearer)

Delete your insane petition, you deserve nothing. Report it as a bug and move on with your life. Wasting a GMs time to tell you to go away is plain rude of you, even more so with so many other players in REAL need of a GMs help. -- Lil Miner |

petition, if the petition dont get through petition again. also get that movie with higher quality on another server, like www.eve-files.com and use it as reference if the GMs doubt you and your story.

by all means he should petition under Exploit, or as a "Other" petiton. why should he NOT do that? if this would happen to me i would get ****ed off.

1. It emergency warped.
2. Videos (even perfect-quality) are NOT recognised as evidence for petitions since CCP says they can be (probably not so easily) forged.

yup, but the GMs will have logs from the time. if it shows a pair of inties flying around a frieghter inside scramble range for 90seconds while failing miserably to get a lock, i think they will look into it.
however, i'm not sure what action theyll take, because they can hardly say for definite exactly what would have happened - in the time it would take 2 inties to kill a frieghter, backup for it could show up.

This isn't petitionable - What are the GMs going to do ? Roll the game back to that point for you
Nope, I'd ask you to send a bug report please.
