Premise: my account has been hacked and I now have 0 assets in game.
The challenge: WITHOUT begging for money, I am to use every other legal ingame method to attain as much money as I can using nothing but my ibis, civilian railgun and 1 tritanium.
The timeframe: 1 standard week worth of play time, this means 7 playtime days. Round figure of 14 hours.
The reward: The tangible reward is learning new and more efficient ways to play the game as both self-education and also ways to teach new players who start in basicly the same position.
The intangible reward is determining the feasibility of very low level gameplay from the perspective of a high-SP character using ONLY the tools available to him at the time of starting the challenge.
Day 1 results thus far:
Income generation basicly relies on theft of yellow wrecks in belts. Combat with even frigate NPCs nearly impossible due to pitiful dps/tank. Getting the feeling that theft will become a staple of income generation for myself.

I suggest tutorial missions until you can get yourself a scanning setup and some salvagers, then go ninja salvaging or exploring.
Best of luck to you! Not posting on my main, and loving it.-á Because free speech.-á |

Scam dude. There's nothing worse than an EVE player, generally considered to be top of the food chain in the MMO world, that cannot smacktalk with wit and coherency. |

UPDATE:
In the past 2 days I have gotten a friend to join the challenge with me. To make a living he moved to nullsec with his ibis and has since made enough money to fly a malediction and has a couple of PVP kills to boot.
I stayed in high/lowsec and ran exploration sites, got some really nice loot and raided a wormhole. So far I've made almost 600 million ISK in assets.
It's really interesting to try this, forcing myself to pursue alternative methods of money making over L4's and FW button orbiting like I used to.
Definitely will keep this thread updated as time passes. I am guessing that the "Hacked" thing is just a premise for your challenge, but if it's not, "hacking" is against the EULA and if you file a support ticket, CCP will usually look into it and get you your **** back.

Good idea and initiative, but not very realistic : Every new players will follow most of the tutorials and so will start in a much better position than you. I suggest that you restart your experience in the same normal conditions than most new players. I'd be really interested by the results. |

Oh.
So he is documenting the process that all new players have to go through, but without the drawbacks new players have. Such as ship restrictions due to skills and knowledge about game mechanics. |

He's also stated that he will only use the Ibis, with its civilian modules. Now you can buy a T2 fit Ishtar and blitz/cherry-pick level 3s and generate ~50M isk/hr in assets (i.e. LP.) =)

If he was only using an Ibis and civilian modules, that would be interesting. Sadly he isn't.
It's nice to know an experienced player can earn 600 mil doing lowsec exploration. Would that be those new sites with the mini game? I haven't tried those yet. |

During my trial period, I did some missions to start off with some ISK, then went and ninja salvaged off of lvl4 missions. Made about 20-30mil an hour. Cormorant with 6 salvagers or so. Can't tractor without sec loss I think though so I had to fly to individual wrecks.
Had about 500mil after my trial period ended. The friend who referred me to the game, gave me the PLEX he got, I used it for a month's subscription, and I haven't paid since.
It's incredibly boring and mindnumbing though. Missioning was much more fun, though it paid a lot less. |

It has a search function, you should use it. And by that, i mean you should use it every single time, especially when you think something works the way you think it works.
You don't ever get a security hit for tractoring something, but you can't tractor wrecks that aren't yours anyway. |
