Recommendation: Don't.
While it's possible to make 600 million in the trial period, it's damn hard. You've got very low skills and minimal knowledge of the game. You'd end up spending many hours a day, every day just grinding for ISK. It's a game, not a second job.
Just pay the $15 or whatever it is. |

OP take a buddy invite get 21 days instead and look on amazon for the cheapo starter deals to activate your account some come with free ships and the like plus the first month. This first month stacks with the 21 days so essentially for paying for 1 month you got 51 days to earn your first plex and you only ever payed for the game once. |

Pretty much what everyone has said. Most people I've talked to that play just to earn the PLEX for their account get burned out quite quickly. Being low skills, you won't have many options available to you to make the ISK for a PLEX and a lot of the time you spend in your first few weeks is going to be reading and learning the game, not making ISK.
That being said, I'd recommend just doing a normal sub for at least a month, maybe three, then start to earn the money for PLEX.
As a side note, I started a new character a couple months ago and trained her for exploration. Primarily low sec exploration, part time, for a month, got me about 400m. Not enough for a PLEX, but a good amount of money for a brand new character with low skills and didn't require having to depend on others. The exploration skills are minimal at best, and doing it in LowSec you learn a lot about how to survive in the game. The biggest drawback is that the money can be very sporadic. Some nights you bring in 75m, some nights you bring in 10. My twitch stream to help new players: http://www.twitch.tv/biohazrd51

The market is generally the most effective way to make money in Eve. However, market aptitude is a skill that comes from time in research, and effort that others are typically un-interested in investing(spreadsheets, crunching numbers, sifting through items, use of 3rd party tools and sites). The reason it is lucrative is that effectively you provide a service to others. You do something others don't want to do.
Anything that's easy and accessible - that is, things that will be good for a starting character - will likely be highly populated, and thus less profitable as a result.
This is why it's *possible* to play for free from the start, but not necessarily a good idea. Hitting your goal in time requires a rather massive grind up the learning cliff. It likely won't be fun, not with the timetable on your hands.
On the other hand, Eve is all about ambition. So from that perspective, I wish you luck.

My income is only just hitting 500-700M per month now. I have been playing since feb. Mowing lawns, babysitting or just about anything else for RL money will be time better spent. Then you can play eve as a game, and not as a very very poorly paid job.
EDIT: also most corps don't want anything to do with trail accounts. |

This is not 100% accurate. Many corporations will claim they dont accept trial accounts, but just like with SP requirements many recruiters will "skip" this requirement if the recruit shows a good attitude. In many cases the trial account requirement is there to prevent spies and similar from bothering to even try to apply.

Tip. Get a RL (part time) job. This is a much faster way to pay for the sub then fall for the "I must grind each month to pay for my sub" trap.
The latter will turn EVE in a job and you will be disappointed at one point cause you will need spare ISK and dont want to worry about having to grind enough isk for your sub. Want to have some chat in game? Need help to get into the game as a new player? Just join my channel: Crazy Dutch Guy |

Opening with "I want to buy a plex" isn't likely to turn any heads in the recruiting office though.

That depends as well. A lot of people will state that their end goal is to be able to plex their accounts, and there is nothing wrong with this (just not an advice i would give to new players), but if he states that he will only join the corp if they can help him get a plex... Well, again im sure some would accept him (if they keep the promise is a completely different matter), but yes it would make it more difficult to find a serious corporation willing to accept him.
With recruitment nothing is 100%, every corp has different rules, different requirements, different preferences and some simply dont care.
