My alt trains towards logistics atm. But i canŠt decide between the oneiros and or the Guardian As far as i see, the Guardian is a bit in front with its cap and armor remote skills ... or is the tracking feature even better

Depends what you're doing with it...
If you're going to sit next to a BS at point blank range and help it tank go for the guardian, but expect to die quickly...
If you're going to sit next to a sniper (turret BS) use the Oneiros since you can sit further away from targets and make yourself safer, whilst helping to rep it in emergency.

Actually, the Guardian can be quite some distance behind the BS it is boosting.

Unless the ship its going to boost *really* needs cap boosting, the oneiros is superior.
Better remote repping, and the tracking boosting is just great.
In the end, it all depends on what BS its going to be boosting. ------------- Please fix the EW stacking bug, it's a disgrace!

Yeah but if the BS is heavily tanking it's probably set up for point blank work, and that puts the guardian well within shot of the targets, making it an easy target itself, and when it dies the BS will also find itself in a hot spot...
Logistics/EW ships in close combat always die quickly due to being perfect targets.

The Oneiros can use both it's bonuses (remote armor and tracking links) at the same time, whereas I see that boosting armor and cap at the same time will probably a) be pointless and b) not very practical to do at the same time (armor repping and cap transfering requires LOTS of cap). Also, 5 med slots on the Oneiros is AWESOME for versatility *cough* heavy-tackler-neiros *cough*.
Granted, Im a biased Oneiros pilot who hasn't really even read up on the stats of the Guardian.

Edited by: tenp1 on 21/01/2006 05:54:37 It depends entirely on the ship you wish to support, I have all 4 logistics ships (I am t2 junkie ) and the 2 I use the most tends to be the Guardian and Scimitar. For the most part I use the guardian. For shield tanks it allows for multiple bigger Shield boosters to run indefinetly, which enables their lows to be freed up for whatever. For armour tanks, it enables the ships you are supporting to free up mids for EW/tracking/sensor booster etc and lows for extra tank or damage/tracking/wcs/Sig amp etc. This flexibility in being able to refit the ships being supported, due to slots freed by cap support, seems more of a boon than simple tracking and remote armour rep to me. Mind you it does also leave the ships being supported starved for cap if the guardian gets popped. Anyway, i don't recomend logistics for use outside of PVE, snipeing or gate camping as even with the HAC resists they are still soft targets.
Also the guardian can use both it's bonus' at once when I use 4x Medium Cap transfer and 2x Medium remote armour rep. Just stick a large batery in mid, and 3 cap relays in lows. 1 medium rep II and an energised thermal membrane will cover the tank.

my guardian can keep 3 XL Shield boosters going on a raven on auto repeat (aslong as the reven has good skills)
if you know you have a guardian behind you, you can practically setup your ship with total disregard to cap problems, and fit fot 100% damage and tanking, pretty nice ship to have with you infinite cap 4tw

Interesting, you use the Guardian for shield transfering when in fact it has a bonus for armor repairing. I don't get it, it can hardly be practical to sit 5000m away from the ship you're boosting, compared to +50km if you use the ships bonuses.

He means that he sends the Raven enough capacitor to keep the three shield boosters running, not that he uses three shield boosters on him.

My alts Oneiros makes my Megathron the best.
It tankes like 2 LARU II's... Only have to worry about 2 or 3 hardners on the Mega, I fit the rest with gank mods.
