Here is my current PvE setup for level 3 missions: 3xArbalest Heavies 2xArbalest Assault 2x250mm Prototype Gaussian
3xspecific hardener 1xLarge SB II 1xLarge Shield Extender I
2xBCU I 1xInternal Force Shield Array (15% bonus to shield on all types of damage) 1xNamedCPU Processor
So I face the followings problems (anything that isn't T2 is because I lack the skills at the moment): 1) Not enought cap for 5 heavies AND 2 250mm even if my engineering skill is at IV 2) I have no PDU II yet, because I'm learning the skill atm. Will be done tomorow 3) Cap runs dry all the time when I need the Large SB II hence my dilema:
A) Do I go for 2x medium nos II ? or B) I stick with the 250mm ?
Thanks !!

Try this.
5x heavies (if u want to use guns aswell use malkuths) 2x whatever you want, if u think u might get ganked fit med nos.
Mid(1):
3x large extenders 2x invul fields
Low(1):
A mix of PDS, Shield relays and BCU's (left to your taste.)
If you dont like passive try:
Mid(2)
1x Large Booster (best named, t2 preferably) 1x boost amp 2x invul fields 1x cap booster or cap battery
Low(2)
Mix of PDS and BCU, again to your tase
I personally recommend the passive tank over the active.

loose the guns
go for nos
Also find and buy the best cap injector you can find. Use active shield hardners. Thermal and EM(named) if you can.
and 4x BCU's

It removes their cap so they can't scramble you, tank you, or MWD/AB around you.

The only redeeming feature of this post, for a PvE Ferox setup, is the suggestion to use 2 active hardeners. Get on eve-search.com and look for "RMR Ferox" and "Ferox Setup" and "Ferox PvE" etc and you'll find a ton of good setups for pve.

Edited by: Xeios on 22/01/2006 01:55:56 I would personally recommend 2 t2 invul's over 2 hardeners any day on a ferox. Simply because the resists will be about the same (as the 2 you apply hardeners too) but the other resists will become higher.
Hell even applying 2 t2 hardeners will only give you about a 5% increase on your lowest resist compared to the invuls. Better to be prepared for anything imo.
