They have changed the warp acceleration mechanic which for the last 4 years they have always told me they can't change due o the code being too involved in the rest of the game.
They just changed that.
They said they couldn't do "place anywhere POS" due to legacy code they didn't want to touch. They just told us they've written code to be able to do that.
That means a starting framework for POS' that people will actually want to use.

That proves my point, I've run more missions than that and probably that many plexes and anomalies. If you're "burned out" then that is a perosnal problem (with your endurance and with your unreasonable expectations), not a problem CCP needs to fix. This is not to say that new things aren't welcome, but people who can't be hapy with the AWESOME things they have (EvE let syou fly SHIPs...in SPACE....) then no amount of new content is ever going tosatisfy you for long.
Also, why can't you "I need more" people just say that instead of "neither for burned out vets nor for wannabe players who don't find EVE's current content appealing." Speak for your self sometimes, because unless you can provide some sceintifc polls you conducted, you have no idea what other people want.
The fact that EVE is still going means there are enough new people who has what EVE takes. |

In other words the have change the server codes. Thats not a small fee to do. So for the request 4 years ago the set a team up to change the server code thats address the code of warping speed. So in short the change the game code for some reasons thats a good thing. There are doing something. But what??? What are there plans! Why the change? We will found that out soon or later...

I love the goal and vision of CCP and it's always nice to hear them speak it but I admit I am tired of their telling me how awesome the future is while the present is really not that great. Yes indeed, so many CCP people keep talking about Future VisionsGäó. They seem to not have realised yet there's no such thing as "future", that's a perception illusion created by our minds (either that or they want to illude you into thinking there is a "future" when there isn't so you keep subscribed to the game). The only thing that exists is a continuous present and that's ultimately what matters to us players.
"The Future Is NowGäó"

Folks,
Discussing moderation and re-posting deleted posts is probably one of the best ways to have your forum privileges removed. I would urge you not to continue doing this.
We are certainly not saying that you have to agree with the OP to post, it wouldn't be a discussion then. However, if you're going to make a point, make it constructively and without trolling.

Now back to the discussion, that post you quoted was meant to express my opinion about how GTA V PC launch will gather the attention of PC gamers in detriment of this EVE "expansion" or the X-Rebirth game. It was not a "GTA will kill EVE" post, as obviously that won't happen, they're not even competitors in the same game genre. |

Nice assumption, quite wrong.
And while there is a difference between "try it again" and "well I'm going to force you", telling someone that expressly does not want to PvP that they are missing 95% of the fun is subjective rhetoric that no one wants to hear.
And the logic that "Because I always do it it's OK" is ******* terrible. Eve is Real |

How would i express it...
...I know that by avoiding (asploding ships in space) PvP, I am missing EVE's largest individual source of fun.
But it is not the only source of fun, and this thread starts with an instance on how other things that don't imply (asploding ships in space) PvP could also be fun, but aren't even contemplated.
The Hallelujah plan, by attempting to replay Apocrhypha, is both unoriginal and untimely. There is a time to conquer and a time to build, and EVE's time to build is long overdue. The Greater Fool Bar is now open for business, 24/7. Come and have drinks and fun somewhere between RL and New Eden! |

Dominion: Released December 1st Incursion: Released November 30th Crucible: Released November 29th Retribution: Released December 4th
Rubicon: Scheduled November 19th
X Rebirth: Scheduled November 19th in the USA (November 15th in Europe)
As you can see, the last 4 winter expansions where launched either the last tuesday of november or the first tuesday of December, whereas Rubicon has been scheduled two weeks earlier, and coincidng with the launch date of a game that competes for the same player niche. Oh thats right, GTA FIVE. Six, actually. Seven if you count GTA V (which is the 13th game in the series).
Indeed, all of them constantly followed up with awesome content, new gameplay features and graphic engine improvements, and of course, always unparalleled in the breaking of all-time sales records in the video-game industry. And you can count the rest of Rockstar Games' titles and all their sequels in too (Max Payne, Red Dead Redemption, LA Noire, etc) which by the way, were all very well received and made huge sales profits, unlike CCP's side games that are... well... flops, who not even using desperate public opinion control attempts like the hire of youtube girls and marketing weasels seem to be able to survive on their own. |
