Jump clones offer a lot of opportunities.
Let's make them actually meaningful. What I mean by that is after two or three hours of running around with friends in lowsec / wormholes, I don't want to be stuck in the clone. The problem with that is not being able to do other things afterwards that do benefit or depend or having implants.
Life in eve doesn't happen in 24h (or less with the recently introduced skill) increments.
It's a deterrent to doing fun things, it may have it's reasons in balancing things, but in my opinion the game is better off with the restrictions gone.
What would happen if you could jump around without restrictions? Or a more limited form where one could jump to a clone in the same station instantly? |

The timers were just reduced below 24 hours so you can actually do it once per day. Be happy with what you got. Lowering the average to make you look better since 2012. |

It's not only an issue of travel. The 24 hour timer doesn't fit because it seems to say that you should be able to jump once a day, but in practice it's often more like every other day. Just because we want it to actually be once a day does not mean we want substantially more freedom in clone jumping overall.
I agree that most people will be using it to move clones for an activity, not for travel, but we don't want that to not come with cost. It is not the goal that everyone will be able to be in the ideal implant set for any activity at any time. We are happy with the cost (risk/time loss/travel) and decision making associated with clone jumping and don't want to eliminate that with this change.

The problem with the cost is that it can be prohibitive to the point of never jump cloning at all. Without alts, I have to consider things like not having the implants to make my ships work, or not being able to log in for a while and suffer reduced training time for it.
So when someone invites me to an activity outside of high sec the answer is no. Emergent game play? Working as intended? Fun?
How is having to plan your activities in 24hour blocks good for the game? |

I'd probably use my jump clones more often if they reset every downtime instead of 24 hours after use. |

So you rather they reset after every DT than 24 hrs after use ?
Realistically they not be a lot of diference, you still only be able to jump once in 24 hrs.

What cost is there in JC'ing ?
Plus the imps you need to make you're ship work into you're other clone or use a diferent ship which doesn;t need imps to work.
You could always jc and maybe not train quite so many sp's for a day, you know for fun. |

If jump clones are a problem for you, just trash them
you don't need them to play, but you have the option, along with consequences

While i agree to JC timer down to a quicker time. No time at all is just stupid. Force projection would be ******. |

Real bad idea. Since your toon is new I'll give you a break and explain...
Actions have consequence. In this case, the biggest threat is a large alliance being able to project their massive fleets across the ENTIRE eve map with no repercussions. They have the toon-power, ships & resources to spread and take the ENTIRETY of sov space if their are no meaningful limitations to clone jumping. After that, its just a matter of time before they take all of NS & LS. After they shore that up, they just dump trillions of is in HS ganks for the lolz.
As you can imagine, the game would most likely die well before then. |

wow..... is there any reason to even play the game with those predictions... lol
PS.. I don't use jump clones for any toons I play... .... now if they could transport goods when you change clones.... that's an idea! |

EVE is not a FPS where you can jump to any map you like at any time. EVE is a game of strategy where positioning, logistics, and having the right people in the right place matters. |

Truth is that GS has the numbers and this would allow them to project their force anytime and anywhere without while still being able to defend the homefront. No timer means they can be everywhere at once. |
