I'm currently using this fit for L4s vs Angels (not that it matters with variable damage). I just finished training Cruise Missiles V, but switching from faction to T2 launchers doesn't seem that advantageous (slower RoF even with CM Spec V and various sized targets in missions).
Here's how I currently have it fitted.
Lows: 4x Caldari Navy BCU 1x PDU II
Mids: Caldari Navy Large Booster Shield Boost Amplified II 2x Mission Specific Hardeners Invulnerability Field II Target Painter II
Highs:
7x Caldari Navy Cruise Launchers (T1 ammo) Small Tractor Beam
Rigs: 2x Warhead Rigor Catalyst I 1x Warhead Flare Catalyst I
While my fit has been working just fine, I'd appreciate any advice anyone has on improving it as I build my available capital. |

Try replace PDU with Signal Amplifier II ? 121km targeting range is nice. |

T2 launchers can use T2 Fury cruise missiles and are much cheaper than faction launchers. However you may want to consider using two TPs against Angels.
Tinfoil. It should be at the top of everyone's food pyramid.

The biggest advantage over faction Launchers w/ faction missiles is the damage bonus that Cruise missile spec and T2 missiles give. With the right rigs and fit your Furies will hit harder than your faction cruises, which makes up for any RoF difference.
I fly a SNI, so I can't talk about a CNR, but once i got into the T2 realm and switched to T2 missiles, things started dying much faster.
I think if you search the old forums you'll find the "Liang Approved" CNR setup. IIRC, it was something like this:
4x CN BCU 1x ???
XL booster Cap Booster w/ 800's 3x Rat Spec. Hardners Target painter
6x Cruise II w/ T2 Missiles 2x ???
Rigor II, Rigor II, Rigor I.
Can't confirm the above setup, but I'm sure some others can.

That fit looks pretty good. IDK how much you are looking to spend but tech two rigs would make it a little better obviously. Take a look at a Pithum(or pith or whatever it is)-A type medium shield booster. Two caldari navy invulns and two shield boost amps gives you a good enough tank and that way you don't have to mess around with switching hardeners.
Definitely go with t2 launchers so you can use t2 missiles imo. Against battleships with a painter they do quite a bit more dps.
The cap boosted fit that Dr.Cedric posted kills stuff just as fast but is more of a pain to use imo. You have to swap hardeners and mess with cap boosters. It's a good fit and if you're trying to keep it inexpensive it's the one I would recommend. However if you don't mind spending the isk on the a-type and invulns, it's the better way to go.

I've messed around with a cap booster fit, but find the micromanagement to be annoying (switching hardeners, making sure I have the right missile damage type, restocking cap charges...). Effective, but annoying.
Thank you all for the input on T2 launchers. I'll make that switch asap.
If I sell off my Caldari Navy launchers, I should be able to raise enough isk to get started on some of the other upgrades. As I recall, the Caldari Navy Invulns are a few hundred mil each. Presumably faction boost amps are preferable. That booster is going to be out of reach for me in the short term (as I recall it is somewhere north of 750 mil), but something to work towards. |

last i saw the CN invuls are like 510 mill a pop. They are nice but really starts putting a ship into "worth ganking" territory. |

Hmm, while I don't enjoy swapping hardeners, I'm not sure I want to paint too big a target on my own back due to simple laziness. Maybe skip the CN invulns... |

Faction SBAs are normally chosen over SBA IIs because they don't require Shield Management V. You're basically trading isk for training time.

Just a word of advice, come the Winter Expansion, those CNRs flying around w/ blingy Medium A-Type shield reppers will reap the Whirlwind. Your "safe to fly" price will be dramatically reduced (anything close to 1 Bil will be on the menu) and busy mission hubs will be like unto a slaughterhouse. You heard it here first. Ah, well, already got Shield Management V, so I guess I don't need to worry about that one. |

I'm sure you're very careful when flying your CNR (as am I), but adding more bling to your ship now is just going to make your eve experience that more stressful.
I think Solomar hit the nail on the head: "those CNRs flying around w/ blingy Medium A-Type shield reppers will reap the Whirlwind. I've also been thinking about the coming update in regards to mission running. The addition of the new T3 BC's may well entice some bored players with lots of ISK to burn to venture into suicide ganking. My CNR isn't as blinged out as the OP's but you can be rest assured I'm already looking for more quiet mission hubs as we speak. |

I use this fit on my CNR with T1 ammo. I don't worry about damage type being dealt to me as I like to orbit outside of NPC battleship range at 105 km, and I can turn off my hardeners at that point. I only use cap while moving to range pulling the initial agro group with me. I carry 15 cap charges plus 5 in the module, which is enough for about 6-8 missions, depending on the mission. I build my own cap charges so I don't have to haul them.

Tested this out and it is working great. Don't notice the difference to my tank, but has proven very useful when spawns warp in far away or when getting sensor damped. |

Well that's a load of horsesh+žt. CNRs with blingy mods are already miles above the "safe to fly" price and I don't see daily complaints from carebears about getting ganked. In fact, I haven't seen ANY complaint about it in years. It's a myth that there are legions of suicide gankers lurking out there, preying on all the nubs in CNR's and Nightmares and Machs. Just a boogieman story to scare the carebears now and then. |
