Lol....I found it quite amising that you titled the thread "NOS Sucks".
Very Apt. It does indeed.

Take a passive shield tank then Nos has no or little impact on you. _________________________________________________ Nominate famous people in Eve who had an impact on you. |

You can:
* Use nos yourself * ECM him * Use cap boosters * Move outside nos range

Or use offence that doesn't require cap, such as small projectiles, missiles or drones.

1) Fit Nos yourself 2) Cap Boosters 3) ECM 4) Distance 5) Capless weapons with a passive tank
Despite what many of the unskilled here seem to think, Nos can be countered. Those complaining are just looking for an easy way out.

Edited by: Maya Rkell on 30/01/2006 23:33:55 No, they are easy to counter in the equivalent size class.
To lower classes, contrary to the brainless's arround here's approach, they are an issue.

I've found setting orbit to 21km tends to deal with most NOS pretty well.
Just wait till CCP does some heavy binge drinkign and decides to add capital NOS though. You think it's bad seeing a frig sucked dry from 20km, imagine seeing a HAC sucked dry by a carrier from probably 40 or 50km, then wtfpwnd by the carrier's fighters.

Yea, then you can't tackle. So you might as well not bring smaller ships.

Hm, I kinda thought that was the whole "point" in EVE, several small, "cheap" ships will destroy the 1 big expensive.

who cares? if you engage a bigger ship in a smaller ship you should die. if multiply ships attack a bigger ship than the bigger ship should die, its easy. if a bs puts 3X heavy nos on a thorax and you engage with 3 thorax that bs will go down.
depends on BS
yeh ok my domi would pwn all, but that doesnt have everthing to do with nos

Yes you can - use a faction scrambler.
Too expensive for you? Fine, work as part of a small tackling gang (say three frigs). This is an MMOG after all.
PS, orbiting at 21km most probably wont be enough. I think most decent BS players will be packing at least one E500 which have a 24km range. I use Heavy Diminishing for the 25km range, but they are a little pricey.
