That would be pretty cool, seeing the whole tubes and such sticking out of the corpse... Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person." |

That is awesome! Really great design work from the Dev's there. It's the little things, the attention to detail that makes this game for me in the design aspect.
Having parts of the tubes that connected you to the pod on the corpse just makes sense, and will be great to see implemented. (Not that I plan on blowing up any time soon, but rarely does anyone plan it).
This, coupled with the Drake hull Nighthawk, has officially just made the Rubicon expansion for me. (Not that I can fly a Nighthawk, but it's something I am going to enjoy skilling for now). Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Hate to disappoint you but the textures are all white as far as I can tell..... it would be really simple to just multiple the diffuse value to match the diffuse value of your character skin though . They just need to implement this in their shader engine and it's totally doable. |

You will possibly be happy then. Quoted from the thread linked in post #2:

I just happened to read it as the above person posted his reply on this thread. I got lucky Quoted from Doc Fury: "Concerned citizens: Doc seldom plays EVE on the weekends during spring and summer, so you will always be on your own for a couple days a week. Doc spends that time collecting kittens for the on-going sacrifices, engaging in reckless outdoor activities, and speaking in the 3rd person." |

I actually like that they decided to cover up the *naughty bits* with some cloth.
It is a VAST improvement over the current status quo where we are supposed to just pretend people dont have genitalia.
I still dont see what the big deal is with having everything visible though, if you can play EVE then Im sure you already knew about the whole boy/girl difference thing. BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty. |

It's not about how much you reveal but what you choose to cover that gets our attention. |

Actually, they don-¦t (have genitalia). Nor nipples (at least the female ones).
At least according to the WiS-pictures of Avatars where the clothes are glitched away (should be around somewhere on the Internet if you are interested). Seems like they never were intended to be stark naked and the designers just didn-¦t.... design them for us.
A shame really, because "enlargement" implants undoubtly could have been a huge success for the NEX store....

I think the point was "look, we know we're naked when we die, so why do we have to pretend clones have no genitalia?".
Real world -> because CCP didn't want the content to get rated 'M' (or equivalent in other countries -- ESRB rating is 'T' with the caveat of "online interaction not rated") for having "correct" bits for the frozen corpse models. And well, since you can't remove the underwear anyway, why waste resources making said bits for the new avatars...
Ingame lore -> do clones even have genitalia in the first place? One of the bitter points of a good bittervet is the realisation that all those SP don't really do much, and that the newbie is having much more fun with what little he has. - Tippia |

Exactly, which is why I said I prefer them being covered over them just being magically absent.
I understand the M rating thing, but that is a great example of our skewed western morals.
*Oh, a mutlilated corpse, how nice.* *Wait, better cover up that p3nis, we wouldnt want anybody turning into a rapist from looking at this!*
Edit: seriously CCP? How about we also censor bladder and kidney. BoBwins Law: As a discussion/war between two large nullsec entities grows longer, the probability of one comparing the other to BoB aproaches near certainty. |
