Obviously this is going to be plugged in by almost every other individual who had purchased they're C.E.
However I'm thinking about obtaining a second C.E. (Don't ask me why)
I'm wondering what the Mystery Code would go for if I were to sell it for isk. Obviously it's purely speculative, surely based by the demand for the code. I guess I'm asking, what would YOU pay? |

Depends if we have a legitimate way to know if it hasn't been used or cannot be used by the previous owner. I don't know how they come, but it is always a concern with prize codes in any game that the code has been used, and once the isk is in your wallet, no way to get it back. |

third parties are always definitely an option. |

I would think the mystery code itself is attached to your account that you used when you bought the CE.
You can already sell all the items that you are getting from the CE on the market.
I would think CCP has a way to keep you from selling this mystery code because it is not an item.
Just redeem all the items as they come out & sell them on the market.
If I did not already buy a CE, I would in no way shape or form by a mystery code not knowing what the hell it would give me.
There is no way to put a price on it for what it is worth unless you give it away.

Actually no, it's a scratch off code like all the others in the pack. So in this case it's as sellable as any other code in the pack. (granted selling this mystery code is legal because it's for in-game items, nothing tangible gets shipped to you from these). |

I wouldn't ever buy a code because the original owner will still have it. A third party just won't work. |

I'd jump on the chance of a third party mediating it. Then you use the code, get your stuff, tell the third party it didn't work, get your isk back, and viola, double your money. |

I could see /one/ way to do it with a third party.
Use something like go to meeting to allow all three parties to see the buyers computer. have them give the isk to the third party, then log into the redemption system, then give control over to the seller to enter the code. That way, all three parties can see if it succeeds or not. Steve Ronuken for CSM 9!-á I'm starting early :) Handy tools and an SDE conversion Twitter: @fuzzysteve on Twitter |

If it's only for in game items, the third party can redeem the code, then pass the items on to the buyer. .

It's not just for Eve stuff though. Which makes it troublesome. and it will be for more stuff in the future. Steve Ronuken for CSM 9!-á I'm starting early :) Handy tools and an SDE conversion Twitter: @fuzzysteve on Twitter |
