I've been back and forth between Gallante and Caldari space, and I have yet to find an opening in a system where I can do materiel research on my bpo's. Do I have to go to low sec space or something, or is there a better way to find a place where I can do the research? The way it looks now, it is impossible to EVER do materiel research.

The problem with you people is that you assume that you have to have the queue say "Now" for availability to do any research.
It's not that hard to find a slot in high-security space that will have your job going in less than a day. In low-security space, it's easy to find slots open in twelve hours, and the hourly rates are a lot lower too.
Just put your BP into the line and wait your turn.

Okay. So, since nothing near Gallante space is open for about 5 weeks, I just put myself in the queue and come back in July? Because I haven't seen any openings for less than about 2-5 weeks yet, and I've been looking for a few weeks.
Instead of telling me, "Shut up and get in line like the rest of us," how about offering some useful advice? If I have to wait weeks to do research on a bp, then the system is flawed.

The system isnt flawed, theres simply a lot of people too lazy to find a solution to their problem and thus they decide to sit in line. -------------

Okay, here's my useful advice: If the wait is five weeks where you are, then move.
Or you could do something constructive with your time, like come here and cry about it.
Like I said: The wait isn't that bad in most places. Try Heimatar. You'd have a hard time finding installations with slots that weren't more than a couple days until they opened.

Try a different region. Or stick up a small control tower with a lab array. Easy peasy. -- We are recruiting

pos lab in highsec seems to be the way to go if you don't want to wait

Simple Find the lowest labs in your system or region and just Que them up.. You dont need an avail "NOW" to put items in for Research =) ====================================================================

Edit: This is in caldari space.

I love how I'm one of the only people it seems that can go to a 1.0 system and find 7 open lab slots, everyone else complains about not having any...

Just take a fast ship with low sig radius, I use a rifter, or a shuttle's even faster, but I drop a big booster on my rifter ;) and fly to .4 sec space or so where queue times are usually around a day, and drop on into the queue, and let it go, that's how I do mine, takes awhile but I do 9 levels which gets the best return all in one go!
