I'm curious why we have Dust Players trapped on their own forums and unable to communicate with EvE pilots? I would like to shoot a planet and kill some FPS nerd or even better kill some punk before he shoots down at the planet and save the day. |

I'm in Faction Warfare, no one in my corp plays dust or owns a playstation. We are Minmatar aka Tribal liberation force, our enemies the Amarr have a corp called Fweddit. Fweddit has a bunch of eve players who also play dust. They get bonus's in eve that mean they get more system control, for running the same exact plex, then we do.
We want to recruit Dust players to help take system control. But I can't even post on their forums.
CCP HOW DO I COMMUNICATE WITH DUST PLAYERS? HOW CAN WE RECRUIT THEM TO HELP WITH THE WARZONE? It is giving our enemies in Eve a massive advantage over us in warzone control. |

I have a DUST character (recently made this EVE trial account).
The DUST forums and EVE forums are separate. You can not log into EVE forums with a DUST account and vice versa. Something to do with the Sony login service, not quite sure what.
You can find DUST mercs in your local - we are the ones that have no avatar. When you create a character in DUST, depending on your race and bloodline you are placed in a random NPC corp and station for that Faction.
Hope this helps.
EVE: Flint Beastgood 0 DUST: Flint Beastgood III
EDIT: a DUST merc's station will never change but the NPC corp is always random (within a given group). |

Amarr have had a big resurgence of late because of the poorly made FW Event in DUST recently where everyone wanted the rewards for Amarr so they threw away loyalty and fought for them, causing a massive imbalance.
It has caused me to frown on a lot of the members in our alliance, since we are supposed to support Gallente/Minmatar. |

If you want to organize with Dust players on their forums you can sign up for an account even without a PS3, you just need to signup for a PSN account which does not actually require having a PS3. It is worth doing as if you later on decide to try Dust you will have accumulated passive skill points in the meantime. It could also be valuable if they introduce a character bazaar as you will have a character with potentially millions of unspent skillpoints. |

As far as I know, you have to play 10 minutes before you can post.

I think you need a certain amount of War Points in Dust to post. It's not much I don't think. On the other hand, i'm not sure y'all want many Dust players on your forums. I don't know how it is here, but the people on the Dust forums can be giant pieces of sh*t, and that's putting it very nicely. |

I have a dust character (Aisha Ctarl) that is a member of PIE.
Trust me, you don't want many of the DUST players over here...just take a look at the DUST forums and see for yourself - nothing but a bunch of "this is OP" threads and "DOOM!" threads. |

Login method has nothing to do with the possibility of sharing a forum, only that the sub-forum would need to be accessible from both forum sites. Nyan |

i'm a dust player.
I started playing eve online 7 days after they announced dust.
i'll be happy to pass along any messages you have for the dust forums.
I believe that the forums are kept separated due to the eula being different for the two games, but i'm not certain about that. |

to truly help dust players an eve pilot has to be in their corporation, or in their militia. it's pretty restrictive at the moment.

thanks for the info. It's really a shame CCP did not take advantage of the biggest content makers, their EvE pilots, to create content for DUST 514 mercs. |

This basically.
Dust is still very "unfinished" compared to EVE. It's not that Dust players are trolls; they have a game with substantially more issues. Two races have no vehicles, only one race has a heavy suit, 2 races have light suits, etc. If someone told me it was going to finally leave beta a year from now, I'd find that vaguely plausible. It doesn't come off like a game that's been launched for half a year. |

Regardless of how "finished" or balanced you think EVE is, it doesn't have issues like two of the empires having no ships at all, etc. As far as the level of discourse, I'm just saying that Dust players have ample reason for complaints. There are trolls as well of course. |

CCP is looking into merging the forums, but from what I gather the main issue they are having with is to keep the forum readable without having to do a ton of scrolling. |
