I recently sat up a Enriched Uranium Production Chain with 5 planets. Lately I have noticed that after I cancel a cycle/program I can see that I should be getting a total of 1.5million units over 2 days. When I then press "Start Program" that Total is still 1.5million for 2 days. After I then press "apply" to accept the changes, the number changes from 1.5million total to 500k total over 2 days :S
First I thought it was because I was in the neighboring system and that it was because I didn't train that scan skill (Forgot it's name) - But after I jumped into the very same system and sat next to the planet while doing the changes, it still went from 1.5mill to 500k.
Is this a bug, or is there some game mechanic that I have missed? |

I have noticed the same thing, but in reverse. When I first started doing PI (not that I'm a pro - still training all my skills), I noticed it would say one thing, but after starting program and applying the changes, I could go back in to look at the extractor's cycles, and the total would be higher. This happens whether I put it on 1 day or 2, or 1.5, etc. I hope someone out there has an answer, because I am as stumped as you are, Fiona. |

This pops up as a question about every 90 days or so.
Bugsy VanHalen has the best answer:

Yup, read that. lol.
Planetology and advanced planetology are not wasted skills.
Basically what you see before applying is a survey estimate, after you hit apply you see the real numbers.
The accuracy of the survey is dependent on your planetology skills. |
