So I basically run missions with a drone boat or a missile boat and than use an ALT to salvage the loot from L4 missions. Now I'm thinking about using this ALT to help me with the missions. Any advice in how to skill it up? I don't know if I should use both characters like DPSers/Tankers and run like if i was 2 players, or If I should use the second char like a support char doing remote repairs, cap transfers and some minor DPS support.
Any suggestions? |

Whatever you want. That's kinda the point. If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there. |

Run a command ship, such as the damnation.
Three warfare links will make the missions a joke. Not a forum alt.-á |

Command ship in combination with loads of leadership skills are nice to have on a second/support account.
And the leadership bonuses are nice (but of course lower) even if the support is in a Noctis.

If you're going for completion time, one marauder for DPS/loot/salvage and one [insertmissionpawnboathere].
If you just want to make your life easier, get boosts. |

A command ship with 3 warfare links and fitted for remote repair/cap transference would be viable and worth? |

If you are dead set on PVE, one Dominix with sentry drones, a strong local tank, and one remote repair module, and one strategic cruiser.
Dominix sets the drones to assist the T3.
In PVP, nothing matches the combination of one agile ship (T3/HAC) and one logistics cruiser. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. The difference between an enemy and a friend is that you stab your enemies in the front. |

I do not think you'd have the CPU for that sort of fit unless you downgrade your local tank modules to be the weaker CPU friendly ones. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. Depends on how many skill points you want to invest and what gaps you are trying to fill on your current ship. If you are using a battleship now, then a HAC might be a good companion to help focus on smaller targets. I find T2 drones to be a great help in missions, an Ishtar might be a great fit.
If you don't want to invest a ton of skill points you can always pick a T1 battlecruiser to help. Two ships focus firing on any mission NPC will bring it down fast. Battlecruisers also typically do a better job of taking out elite cruisers and frigates than battleships. In most cases having 2 ships on grid will be enough to get the DPS to a manageable level pretty quickly, but you probably want to send you main in first to take the agro, a T1 BC can't tank a L4 mission. Hopefully by the time agro switches to the BC the room's DPS will be low enough or you have already killed all the scram shps and can warp the alt if needed. It did this for a while and it was almost never a problem.
Also, don't forget leadership skills. Pick one char and train all of the basic leadership skills to level 4. That will give you a nice 8% boost to your specs.
EDIT: You might also want to keep your future in mind. At some point you will get sick of running missions and want to do something else. You might want to start thinking about training skills for your alt that might help. |

Now I use a BS to run missions, my idea is to train this ALT to be a support char. I'm seriously thinking about logistic and/or Command ships. With maybe some drones to support the BS. |
