I purpose that NPC stations should reject docking requests from any player who has an engagement timer with a war target. Why? To make it harder to avoid fights while at war.
From a metagame point of view, NPC Corps own all of the dockable stations in High and Low sec (at least for now). Those NPC corps are not involved in play wars and want to remain neutral. In history, it is generally accepted that a neutral country is only allowed to provide humanitarian aid during a war. Sheltering, offering services to, or supplying active fighters or war equipment would be considered an act of war, not neutral.
Following the humanitarian aid line of thinking, pods should be allowed to dock once the normal docking timer expires. |

This is already implemented for the weapons timer. Keep your timers straight, bro! |

To me the biggest issue would be people unlocking blind, all it takes is someone to get a scram on them and they are screwed. I am not exactly sure how to fix that, but I agree, that would be too easy pickings. |

Makes perfect sense if all you want to do all day is try to catch WTs on station undocks. Rifterlings pirate corporation is now recruiting pilots for lowsec solo & small gang operations. Visit our website at www.rifterlings.com or join our in game channel weflyrifters to speak to a recruiter. |

give a "window" to stations and maybe this idea would go somewhere.
You see....some brave souls see reds in local and pop out of station to see if actually on station or not. Vice logging in, seeing red and twiddling their thumbs the rest of the night hiding from reds who may or may not be on station.
A "Window" or some tie in into the station ATC as it were to see what is in say undock area would tell your wt all he needs to know. ATC says all 10 reds in local are right there....well then he doesn't have to peek a boo out the station to find out. There is one docking game solved there.
Now if you attacked this target in his mission dead space/plex/etc and he got the warp out not aggressing back....that's eve. He seeing a lost cause did not fire back, gtfo and got home safe. Thats how eve works. Get used to it....out of empire this is common. If a player thinks he can burn the camp (either back to gate or outrun the campers, get that distance to clear points and warp ouit to station) they will. Not all think dying like a muppet to lost causes is pvp. Tackle them better next time. , bring a fast mover or 2 to counter, or moar dps to bring them down faster. |

Let's also put everyone at war with eachother, and every fifteen seconds you are automatically warped to the nearest player, and you are not allowed to warp off until one of you loses a ship. |

Not everyone has the numbers, ISK, SP, or PVP experience to compete in a direct confrontation with whoever might wardec them. Being able to evade people hunting you is pretty much a core component of the game.

I agree with this. I hate it when people have an elitist attitude about EVE, as if clubbing baby seals (ie popping newbies) is something to be proud of. The War dec mechanics are already (ab)used to prey on new corps with new people, to get easy kills. Making it so the baby seals can't redock once someone engages them will make people quit EVE. People quitting EVE because the skill entry level is too high is bad.
Docking games aren't fun. Camping a station with a huge docking radius is also not fun. I wish there was something I could do to prevent a JF from warping off or redocking when a station has a 15km docking range from the kick out. |

sheltering, offering services to and even providing equipment happens in most RL conflicts. however, the provider is usually immune to retaliation because it is backed up by even more powerful allies. Just like stations are backed up by very powerful CONCORD, shoot them if u want.
dnt use war decs to kill random noobs in high sec, use them to prevent target corps from operating, in which u are succeeding by forcing them to stay docked. Suicide ganks are much better for killing random noobs. I agree its not the most sand box system we have going, and personally the war dec system kinda blows, but its what we got.
Dnt refer to RL to back up ur argument. RL is RL, EVE is a game. Or should u be imprisoned in some kind of CQ style jail for decades as punishment for war mongering and attacking other nations without just cause? and it what RL situation can u start a war by bribing world police each week (basically our war dec system)?
There are no vets in EVE. Only varying levels of Noobery. |
