High sec is also a PVP area. Too bad you didnt realize that. But still, i think that CCP as a company that doesn't run on charity should revamp how the system works.
If CCP has any PR and Human Resources department to do researches about who are their custumers they would realize by now that the majority of their paying susbcribers are fond of non PVP and live in High Sec permanently.
So while EVE is mostly a PVP MMORPG, it is a MMORPG. And the way the game is it is more towards a COD or Battlefield than an online RPG.
I belieeve that EVE is unique because it has criminals like goon or others pirates but i think that the way the system deals with them is too lightly.
PVPers have it too easy by ganking cheap ships against ships that can be vaued 10x more and theres little consequences and many ways to dribble the small penalty system applied to them.
In the end, the High-Sec players, the dominant population that supports the servers, the devs and the compnay itself are being treated as second rate customers while the minority of PVPers that gives CCP much less revenue are the ones they support more.
Let's face it. Concord is a joke. Goons and other squads are virtually immune to losing anything of value in the game because they are in huge coalitions that protect themselves and make smaller ones avoid them. So basically if you are in one those huge PVP coalitions you are in a 1.1 system where nobody attacks you.
So i wonder, is this the best way to keep EVE going? It's not about asking for Hi-Sec players to be immune to attacks, no that's part of the game, but let's fac it. The true carebears are not in hi-sec. They are in huge PVP colations making 10x more isk per day than any one else.
If EVE is about risk, whats the risk these guys are having? Losing a Battleship that costs 200million to gank? Thats NOTHING to them and they can do it 1000 times a day if they have the patience because their immunity in lower/null secs gives them all ISK they want.
So i think it would be a nice time for CCP as a profit gaming company to rethink how the system treats their main source of income. Make Concord react quicker, make Concord kill everyone in the same fleet that the ganker attacks, make Concord attack anyone that loots the wrecks of killed playrs if they have a huge security status.
Gankers will still exist for the fun of harrasing others, goons will still make people cry but it will balance more the tables. As of now, the ones with easy mode in this game are the ones in the big PVP coalitions.
They are basically immune to considerable risks in this game. I just saw a pirate trasher flying normally from warp to warp in hi-sec. Concord is a joke.
Oh and btw, get a GM in Jita to start banning scammers spam. Pay him minimum wage just for that. |

Get the miners to actually tank their ships and the problem is solved.
It would help a lot too if they were at their keyboards and watching local itself.
The 5 times I have actually popped my fellow miners, their capsules just hung around for hours, dangling uselessly amongst the Ice.

I see we don't read dev blogs...
But no, the majority of players are not highsec. That's just carebear wishful thinking, to assuage your feelings about being on the lowest link in the food chain with this absurd assumption that you are somehow this silent, moral majority. No.
The reasonable response would be to ask for a link to the suggested material. I would have refused because I don't care if you believe me, but then offered that someone who actually cares enough to save links to stuff like this for mouthbreathers like yourself will be along shortly to provide you with one. Ok just don't cry in anger wjile posting, i wn't be mean anymore to you.
I would like to see that Dev Blog if anyne has the link there just for curiosity. If EVE really have more ppl in null/low i rest my case and hi-sec could just vanish.
One thing that bothers me though is that in another visceral MMORPG, Darkfall, even if you had a huge coalition backing you up there, always huge wars were happening. Even the strongest clans knew they could lose their city in the next day. In EVE i don't see this happening. I see the big fishes in here pretty much without any reasonable chance of losing their stations. Where is the risk for them? Why they don't have to defend their stations against random huge waves of NPC pirates?
Is this the reason more and more ppl are joining these colations? To be free of risk? Isn't this the carebear way? |

Not a single one of these big fish have held the space they own from the start. We all took our space from other big fish in clashes the other MMOs can only dream of.
