Are you an experienced pvp'er or even a newbie looking to get into pvp? Wanting to avoid large Alliances and laggy fleet battles? Sometimes just want to do your own thing without having your corp/Alliance dictate things to you? Feel the need to dish out some pain to pirate scum? Just want a corp where you can chill and make friends?
We are looking to expand our pvp wing. We have 0.0 presence and need more pilots willing to risk the dangers of Catch/Catch/Providence. We have many allies and many enemies, so we can provide ample distraction. We do not belong to an Alliance nor do we want to. We are not interested in wars, or being told what to do.
What we are: - Small Corp (~50 active members) - All Timezones - All Professions (We are not pvp exclusively) - Have a POS in Catch, close to ISS Marginis - All Corp Events Voluntary - Anti-Pirate
What we want from you: - Must be self-sufficient (though we can help you get to this state if you are not already) - Willing to fight against the odds - No ex-pirates, nor griefers need apply
Skillpoint Guidelines: >10mil = Most desired >5mil = Apply and we'll talk, chances are still good <5mil = You are welcome to apply to join the corp. Though we may not accept you into the pvp-wing immediately. We are very newbie friendly and will train you up to where you need to be.
Otherwise, if you place a priority on having fun and making friends while blowing stuff up, contact me ingame for an interview.

Reccomend the corp highly. had nothing but good times since I joined them. A lot of guys willing to help with tips etc. We have a couple good pvp'ers in corp who are always willing to help us that are newer at it.
And when you want an easier life, there is an active empire set up to. As an added bonus you will get to hear my accent on our Ventrilo server. A Scots accent is a great thing, just really hard for you non-Scots to understand. -----------------------------------------------
Maturity and wisdom do not occur overnight. Stupidity on the otherhand, can happen in the blink of an eye!!!!

Scots is a typical example of the type of foreign fare we have available :P
You can even learn to speak his language - he has a guide on our forum :)
Anyway, we've had some interest already and I thank all of you who contacted me and those who joined :)
But we still want more! So clicky the evemail button now!

Com'on. Join our fleet. This is where its at! If you join an Alliance you just gonna be another Apoc in a stupidly big fleet where the only extremes are uber lag-fest battles or smaller hey-we-found-a-lone-pilot-to-beat-up-in-our-12-man-fleet-yayZor battles.
Make the choice. Choose Archon!

the least you could do is relace ships lost in combat for your corp.
what you are looking for is self sufficent pvpers to take care of your carebares who will mine and get fat and rich while the pvp will strugle and not be able to fight effectively since they are pvpers and lack the skills to mine and **** like that. infact many alliances have fallen because of such ways, pvpers are asked to be "self sufficent" and fight wars so carebares can grow fat, at lest offer to replace the ships of your pvpers. u want pvpers to be half carebare having to mine to replace their losses or u want efficent full time pvpers.
communal system is the only way a pvp group can survive
would you ask your countrys army to go work to buy their guns to protect you with? no because its retarded to do such a thing, you provide them with the finance and they provide you with the sweat to protect you.
WTF self sufficent army. what a joke
ill stop posting here now since it looks like u dont like my advice, but asking people who protect your carecares to pay for their own **** is just wrong.

Edited by: Lady Zirconia on 17/02/2006 07:49:50 Maybe you got the wrong impression of us. Archon Industries is not a pvp group. We do not wardec anyone and in fact we value our neutrality quite strongly. We only fire at those, who make it to our enemy list. And our carebears dont need much protecting, because they stay in empire.
Theres a section of our corp, however, which likes blowing **** up. We wont be requiring our carebear friends to pay for our losses just because we go and lose ships for no reason other than our own fun and enjoyment.
But you are right, gronsak. In a pvp corp, the industrialists must support the pvp wing. A symbiotic relationship must be maintained. And its the only way one can achieve major goals and seize territory.
But Archon isnt about that. We dont want to join an Alliance, nor fight wars, nor hold territory (in the game mechanic sense). We just want to do a bit of ratting to replenish our losses and otherwise hold back our enemies - and primarily have fun and play the game.
Occassionally we help our carebears hold a mining op in 0.0 and then we split the winnings. (Prime Ark 4tw!) It gives them a thrill and we feel like we are doing something constructive for a change.
So just put it all in perspective.

The type of experienced pvp'er we are looking for are clearly not those who are already furious busy in an Alliance or who like that type of thing.
We are mostly looking for those pvp'ers who perhaps through RL circumstance cannot dedicate as much time to playing as their Alliance requires and now has to slow down their EVE playing. Many corps require 7 days a week of play. Maybe you can only play 4. No problem. Join us, slow down a bit and still get some pvp'ing in.
We have some very experienced 20mil+ SP pvp'ers in our corp. But they just dont want to or cant do stuff as frantically as they would like to anymore. And some may never have wanted to do anything big because its too much like work and not so much like a game anymore.
Of course we have goals, but we achieve them on our own time. And thats fun.

Edited by: Zephyrlin on 13/03/2006 20:42:17 EDIT: I know this is closed, just wanted to post on it for future reference. Besides, you never know if we might accept a new app
Everyone should just ignore Grosnak, I think he gets upset because nobody pays attention to him. Anywho..
Everything Lady Z has said in this thread is spot on. I joined up, mostly because I didn't want to be in some big corp/alliance that tells me I have to go fight and possibly lose my ships every other day. I like having the freedom to rat if I want, or carebear it in empire, or go mix it up in some PvP.
We aren't a huge corp, we don't have a giant squad of PvPers. More and more of the corp is venturing out and trying their hand at 0.0, but that isn't what it's about. Everyone in corp is very helpful to beginners, and constantly brainstorming with the vets. We've got some awesomely exprienced, and awe-inspiring, PvPers, and we've got some total nubcakes (me!). Whatever your flavor, there's a spot.
Just the other day we got into some nice PvP action with the Virii (great fight if any of you see this!). I lost a few Kestrels, got podded back to empire, and had great fun of it. Spent the last few days ratting to make some ISK for bigger/better PvP ships.
That's what ARC-I has to offer. We won't tell you what you have to do. We'll give you opportunities, not requirements.
You may not get your ship replaced, but I gaurantee if you lose a ship PvPing with me, I'll rat with you until you've got a new one. I'd be willing to bet most of our members could say the same. And when you get enough money to buy some minerals and get a BPC from the corp, I'd bet 100million isk there's an industrialist hanging around who will build it for you for cost.
But, no, you won't get a handout because you lost your ship having fun. What you'll get is support and friendship, and most importantly, a damn good time! ----------
And God said... "Let there be lasers, and let them go... PEW! PEW! ...." |
