4 named cruise launchers or Hybrid Turrets (Heavy or Medium) 2 heavy nos
1 20km scrambler 1 web 4 multispectral jammer II's 2 sensor booster II's

A scorpion has the ability to render alot of ships useless with the jamming capability it has.
Your ship will be the main target on sight.

Edited by: BaliAgha on 10/02/2006 16:06:52 Well lets just say that I had 6 haulers with me (My Scorp) and I was the only one there to protect them from being destroyed by players. Would that setup or a scorp for that madder be the best ship to be able to protect 6 NON-aggresive ships? AKA I will be there to hold off any attackers from killin our haulers - so my ship (scorp) can be lost if anything... just no haulers can go down with me
Of course I cannot give any mission specific details as they are Highly Classified

Edited by: Zecht on 10/02/2006 16:07:52 Well, if you're called primary as usual, then you might lose your ship but the haulers might get away (which is ok, right?). If you're not called primary, you will jam them all to hell and the haulers will get away anyway. Sounds good to me?

6x nos 7x multispecs 1x XL shield booster 4x stabs
If your goal is to get the haulers out you can jam/nos anything that gets a succesful tackle on them, then once the haulers are gone u can get out aswell. ------------------------------------------------------------

Never flown one personally but its not that hard to figure out. One or two sensor boosters to speed up locktimes, and as many multispec II's as you can fit. Test out the cap drain/recharge on it, fit caprelays as needed. The rest of the lows should probably be fitted with WCS's or 1600mm plate. The highs aren't that important, Cruise/Seige launchers or guns as you can fit them and fill the 2 extras with heavy NOS.

callonius has the right setup. Four multispecs won't jam much. The only change would be capacitor relays in the lows if you aren't worried about your survival. By the way the nos are to nullify any frigates. No cap=no warp scramble.

Give us an idea of the level of opposition you might face.
I've "toyed" with 6 to 8 ships before in my scorp, and was never really threatened. But then again, my job was to save myself above all else. Not protect something or a group of ships.
I think if your opposition brings as little as four wolfs, you're screwed. One of them will get unglued and have his way with your "flock" of haulers. Even back during old school EW, before chance based, you had to allow cycle jamming TIME to take place. Time to move, one target to the next. During that TIME that you're building your cycle jamming progression through targets, unglued targets are ripping, in this case, your haulers.
We really need a sense of your anticipated threat level before giving advice.

The best escort config (for 0.0) from my experience is:
6x Heavy NOS 4x Multi-Spectral Jammers, 1x Gal Racials, 2x Min Racials, 1x Sensor Booster 4x WCS
You are more likly to see Gal/Min frigs as tacklers then any other race. Don't worry about a shield or armor rep, you shouldn't be in there for more then 1 minute.
Simply put 3x heavy NOS on 2 of the tackling frigs. Jam the others. Align to warp and as soon as the last hauler is gone so are you.
If you are in low-security switch the min racials to caldari racials. You should expect to be dealing with sensor boosted tackling BSs (Ravens/Domis).
And if you are escorting a freighter drop one of the jammers for a web. You simply web the freighter and it will make it to warp faster.
Also make sure your freighter pilot dosen't log off. We will blow it up out of spite and no it won't take more then 15 minutes.

Only way to go about surviving long enough to be of some use. is to slap all lows whit 1600's.
