I've decided to run some missions with Hyasyoda and get more mining experience. All agents apart from level 1 decline me so I've started with one I found but I keep getting the same two missions over and over. My standing does increase but I am not sure if this is the way to proceed ? Am I supposed to grind through the same two missions over and over until a level 2 agent accepts me ?

There's a small pool of missions from which agents select one when you ask. It's more than two, so maybe you're just getting unlucky draws from the mission pool, or running mining missions where there are maybe 5 different ones in total. |

Sounds like you have negative faction standing. You will get the same mission every time, maybe same 2 missions. Check your standing with caldari state. Maybe the diplomacy skill can help you out in case this is the problem. |

Standings required to use an agent:
GÇó Better than -1.9 with their faction. (so anything from -1.9 to 10.0)
GÇó Level 1 agent requires no standing with their corp GÇó Level 2 agent requires 1.0 standings with their corp GÇó Level 3 agent requires 3.0 GÇó Level 4 agent requires 5.0 |

Correct, but level 1 agents still accept you if you're below -1.9
Also, for 2-4, its derived standings. If you have very high faction standing you can mission for any agent in that faction.
Also, since its derived standings, I think its even possible to mission for a level 4 agent, get above 5.0 personal standings with that agent, then lose corp and faction standing until those are below 5 (but above -2), and you would still have access to that lvl 4 agent, because of the personal standings. |

If you do get below -2 with any faction, that should stop access to any of their agents except the level 1 agents, regardless of the individual agent or individual corporation standing. The -5 number comes into play for getting shot by the faction police when you enter their space. The level 1 agents don't require any standing anymore, that change allows a way to repair a negative faction standing, even if it is a slow way. |

That should help you.

Ok I'll help . . .
For every mission agent in Eve you have three standings related to them.
a) The standing between you and the Agent (I'll call this "personal") b) The standing between you and the Corporation that the Agent works for (I'll call this "corporate") c) The standing between you and the Faction that the Agents Corporation belongs to (I'll call this "faction")
You can always missions for a level 1 agent
In order to mission for a particular agent L2-L5 BOTH of the following conditions must be met.
1) Either "Personal" OR "Corporate" or "Faction" Modified Standing must be greater the agents Standing Requirement. 2) "Personal" AND "Corporate" AND "Faction" Modified Standing must be greater than -2.0
Level 2 agent - Requires 1.0 Standing Level 3 Agent - Requires 3.0 Standing Level 4 Agent - Requires 5.0 Standing Level 5 Agent - Requires 7.0 Standing

According to Eve-Survival, there are only 5 distinct level 1 mining missions. Not all missions are available in all areas, so it is possible that your agent only offers some from that pool. Getting your Connections skill up to 4 should open up level 2 missions pretty quickly.
