1) Is there a way to tell how many missions i've done for a particular agent, or a particular corp? In particular, I want to know if there's a way to tell how many missions I am from the magic number 16 (storyline mission)
2) Is there a single counter for each level of mission? If I do some level 2 missions and some level 3 missions do they run off the same storyline mission counter?
3) Are there any tricks to getting mission standing "faster"? Is it better to work with the same agent over and over, or better to move around between agents of the same level? |

1) I'm not sure if this exists. If it does I've never seen it before. Would be great if it was out there.
2) It is possible to run 15 level 1 missions, then 1 level 4, and you'll get a level 4 storyline.
3) In my opinion, level 3 missions are the fastest rep gain. Level 4's take considerably longer than the increase in rep gain. If you're attempting to gain rep with a certain corp, it's best to run missions for multiple agents. You'll gain rep faster that way. Fly Safe-á o7 |

1.) There is no counter.
2.) No, there is a single counter for each level of mission.
Quote:Please note: The missions need to be of the same level. Completing 8 level 1 missions and 8 level 2 missions will not result in a storyline mission being offered.
Be aware that you're doing missions for factions. Which means that if you do few missions for one corporation first, and then few missions for the second corporation which is under the same faction, the counter will be the same. |

Sigh. This is wrong.
There is one counter per level per faction. For instance, if you run L2s for Caldari Navy, L4s for Lai Dai, and L2s for Roden, each will have a separate ticker, one for L2 Caldari, one for L4 Caldari, and one for L2 Gallente. If, however, you started throwin in L4s for Caldair Navy, they would end up adding to the same ticker that your Lai Dai L4s added to.

you can see recent missions you've done by going to your standings page and right clicking for "show transactions." You do have to check each corporation you've run missions for, but it is possible. Doesn't tell you if you were halfway towards a storyline 6 months ago however. Fighting is Magic |

Huh...must've been a coincidence then. I figured I'd try it one time and it worked. Numbers must've just happened to line up I guess...Oh well Fly Safe-á o7 |

I'm trying to gain standings with one corp and specifically get out of the smoking hellhole of the L2 grind and into the fresh sunlight of L3s. My relevant social skills are both at 4.
So in that case, you're saying it's better to use multiple agents? |

So in that case, you're saying it's better to use multiple agents? That is correct. For example: Grinding one agent to 5.0 might give corp rep of 2.5. But grinding 2 agents to 2.5 will give you higher corp rep, say 3.0. If you're having very slow rep gain, find another L2 agent and start running missions for him. Your rep should go up faster (unless there's been a mechanic change since I last checked).
Huh. So that's also not how it works.
Each mission you turn in will give you standings towards the agent and the corporation. The gain is calculated in relation to how far you are from 10.0, which your standings approach asymptotically. Provided you get the same missions from the two agents you will gain corp standings at exactly the same rate. |

About checking for the storyline, just show transactions on the Faction and make a note of the last storyline mission name and date, then cross reference that with the Corp transactions.
Also some time ago a player provided an application to keep track of mission count for storyline offer.

You want to "land" your Storyline missions with an agent for the corp you want standing with. The NPC corp standing gain is quite significant then (you don't just get faction standing). To achieve that, you need to do your missions, or at least the 16th regular mission of each cycle, as close to the Storyline agent that you want, preferably for a regular mission agent in the same station as the Storyline agent is in, but as close as possible.
As far as I know, the regular mission's agent doesn't in any way need to be from the same corp as the Storyline agent (although that is AFAIK inevitable if it's same-station), but of course you do get NPC corp standing from the regular missions too.
So, find a good spot and start grinding. I've had good experiences grinding for NPC corp standing both with lvl 3 mining missions and lvl 3 combat missions. I've also done some lvl 4 mining missions and a lot of lvl 4 combat missions, but that was not for standing. And I've done some lvl 2 or 3 courier, but I cannot recommend that. |

Actually if you're looking to gain Storyline missions very quickly then the Distribution (Courier) missions is the way to go. Those can be completed very quickly and if you're lucky enough to find a few Distribution Agents located within the same system / station, then that will help even more.
Also if you get set up in a dead-end pipeline of systems, you can then have agents at both ends, basically most of the time you'll just be running back and forth between them with an occasional trip elsewhere out of the pipeline.
By the way, out of all the different mission levels, the level 3 missions have the best ratio for time spent verses amount of standing gained.
