USS Enterprise. Tier4 battleship,
Can do everything including launch scan probes, target and sensor jamming, interfere with cloaks, divert power to shields... everything that might be required for boldy going and such.
Has bonuses to lasers and torps
Has infinite slots, can go from 0 to 50,000km/s in 10 seconds __________________________________________________

i think a missle boat would be cool, like the navy has missle frigates and destroyers, or at least a ship built around fleet defense. Also a dedicated stealth bomber...something in the Destroyer class. and......................a ship that requires multiple pilots, i mean like a dedicated pilot that flyies the thing and a gunner! Or someone who takes care of targeting.

How about more point defence ships, like destroyers but get bonuses to defender missiles that shoot down incoming missiles, so you'd target a gang member and any incoming torps, etc, your defenders would go take out..
or little flak boats, that do the same thing but for the races that don't use missiles a lot -------------

Another destroyer would sure be nice.... I love my catalyst, and am starting to train the skills so I can use all of the destroyers. I love them that much.

Let's have Q-ships.
They look just like an industrial, require <race> Industrial 4 and <Race> cruiser 4, and most importantly of all...
On the Overviews and when looking at it in space, ship name is the same as the industrial name. Give it only one gun slot, so it looks like an indy, but give it massive drone bays and missile rack capacity. Give it Cruiser stats. :)

Fighters.
Pod Ships that have 3 high slots 3 med slots and 2 low slots that are nearly as fast as inteceptors but can pack the punch of a Merlin or even a dumbed down AF.
Would be cool if they were smaller than any current frig as well. Because they are small fighters..

It is my gut feeling that CCP cannot realisticly create more Tech 1 and tier 3 ships without introducing new combat modules. I'm not talking about those role specific modules either, they should be looking at more general combat modules on the same level as Projectiles, missiles, lasers, rails, and drones.
As it is right now, T1 ship uniqueness is at an all time low with multiple ships overlapping each others roles. There's a feeling of dilution when it comes to ship roles/functions.

I agree and this thought did strike me numerous times during the 20 minutes I spent coming up with 3 alternatives.
New content to apply your ships to is more important than new ships. I've played a lot of flight simulators and the suggestions (whiny forum posts) are often like here, or in my own OP, suggestion for new units (OMG we need all versions of the Spitfire or else the game sucks!) outweighs suggestions for new content and deeper game mechanics.
Judging by certain dev blogs on posts, I have faith in CCP to come up with the goodies.
Oh, we need tier 6 frigs (or T2 mining frigs) for anti-macro ops, -15% reduction in jet can generation time pr level.

The "Bait" ship. T2 Industrial/EW. Can be configured to show false readouts to Cargo Scanners/Ship Scanners/ShowInfo
When in space it shows info of the original Indy its hull is based on. The ship could be used to snare pirates, but only by someone who has backup.
Example:
Mushroom (Caldari Bait Ship) Cargohold: 100 Dronebay: 25 Highslots: 1 (no torret or launcher points) Midslots: 6 Lowslots: 2 Base Speed/HP/cap: Same as Badger Resists: Same as Harpy/Hawk Bonuses (per level of "Baitships" skill): +10% Webber distance per level, +10% ECM strength per level, +1km Warp Scramble Range per level

Point defense frigate.
Able to lock Cruise Missiles and torpedos (will obviously need a massive sig resolution/targetting speed bonus), and destroy them with special turrets (which will only fit on this type of ship, in the same way as CovOps cloaks/strip miners are limited). ROF on the special missile-popper will be 5-10 seconds (with max skills), and the ship can only fit one. That way, it could maybe (with skill and luck) take out two torps per volley from a Raven.
This would be useful for defending battleships/capital ships during skirmishes and could be the equivalent of a tracking disruptor (although obviously a specialist ship is a little more effort than a module). The missile-popper shouldn't need ammo and should use very little cap and should also work from long-range (although should not have a 100% chance of being effective). The ship should also be relatively cheap and easyish to kill (average frigate HP/resists).
I'm thinking it should be a totally new model, possibly from SOE or Thukkers or something (so it wouldn't be racial). |

I'd like to see a barge with a built in refinery. Big cargo space and a slots for strip miners, but can refine ore in its cargo hold at a rate of say 100 cap per 100m3.

Although EVE already has a great variety of ships in my opinion, I must agree with you that more Tech 1 ships would be very beneficial. However I'm not interested in your suggestions of ships . All I want for now is a mini-freighter that costs about the same as battleship. Now that would be a ship I would certainly buy.
