If I get a blueprint and start manufacturing something that says needs
35- mineral1 65- mineral 2 68 - mineral 3
and I want to produce say 500 runs for that.
Do I need to calculate the exact amount of minerals to take with me to the assembly station or will it somehow do it for me? |

it will give you a total when you are about to accept the quote. From there it will tell you what and how much of X material you require to complete the job. |

Thanks. Also what are the main things I should look for in a station to produce my goods? Just when can they build it? |

Available manufacturing lines, some stations get more heavily used than others. |

Is there a pro / con to where you pick your station? Is it better to be close to a main hub like JITA or not. How do most people transport their goods to an assembly station? Hire a freighter or move yourself? Sorry for all the questions... |

I have my own freighter so transportation is not an issue for me. Orca's work really well for high value low volume materials (faster and harder to kill).
You do need to be able to sell your goods, so being near a market hub is great if you can manage it. Keep in mind that everyone else is thinking the same thing so stations around hubs tend to be crowded. If you go further out there will be fewer people competing for slots, but logistics gets to be tiresome. You need to find a balance that works well for you.
As far as figuring out the materials you need, I use a spreadsheet. I have it set up so I enter how many of any particular item I wish to build, and it spits out the exact numbers of materials. All I have to do is copy paste the numbers into eve. |

One advice is also to start small and slowly increase.
Trying to research and plan for too much can easily lead to both annoying and expensive lessons.

Are there any skill books I can learn quickly off the bat to be able to manufacture some better blueprints? I know to get production efficiency up, but was wondering which additions skillbooks I can get that will allow me to manufacture more products.. |

Industry is the main one that blueprints need, but most need it at 1. Production Efficiency, production efficiency, production efficiency.
Mass production for more concurrent jobs, supply chain management to start and deliver jobs away from the station they're running in. Not really that many basic industry skills. |

so If I get industry up to level 5 some more blueprints will be available to me that I can buy and manufacture correct? Also, is it worth it going from production efficiency 4 to 5? It takes over 21 days I believe.. |

Not from Industry 5 alone.

Depends. Do you like spending 5% more to make items than your competition?

A decent tool that you may already be using to determine this is EveMon. You can open up a skill there and see what it allows for each skill level. Seeing that you need Mechanical Engineering 4 to create something besides Industry for example.
