With the upcoming Dust FW changes, I've decided to start playing eve and align my loyalty to Gallente. I've joined a Gallente PvP corp/alliance. I'm totally new here, but first impressions there is not much interest in Dust OB support. Our system of operation in eve side FW is at least 30 jumps to the middle of Minmatar territory on the edge of Modlen Heath.
The lack of interest/support from eve side pilots might well be, we just can not realistically get there from here (and continue with our daily eve PvP FW activities). I wouldn't mind bouncing over to Molden Heath and give this a try and/or scope out a base station to operate out of. I also understand that the only way I can actually find a battle is to fly around a planet looking for visual indications of explosions.
I'm very confused about the Jump Clone concept, but wonder if that would help some here. In my understanding, a standing of 8.0 with an NCP corp with JC facilities in the area might allow for rapid travel between ones eve side FW base and maybe some Molden Heath side.
If CCP wants to help this happen it would seem they need to help grass rooters (established EVE players don't seem to care) deal with this issue of rapid transit between our these two worlds.
Anyway ... in the mean time, could some one suggest a Gallente friendly station, close to where daily dust Gallente FW activity would be taking place, that I might drop over and check out?
Thanks for any thoughts/suggestions you might have for me. |

Interesting map, thanks Robert. I did get on with my squad and bounced around with them in the BlackRise region. A couple of their matches were in BR and yet others (within an hours worth or so) bounced to other regions (too far for me to get to from the time the match starts and they can give me the coordinates).
Also note that that map is wonderful for current FW warfare, but look how many regions alone are shown on this, let-a-lone all the possible jumps. Also not that PC is not covered by that map (i.e. Molden Heath, the estimated 30+ jumps).
Turned out The BlackRise were about 13 jumps or so for me from home, so I geared up and gave it a shot, only to end up totally frustrated:
I did move my medical clone the other day, had assumed that you had to be at the station (with medical support) that you wanted it at. It appeared one might be able to set it anywhere?? Is so, that is one way (set you're medical clone to Molden Heath where you have a rig setup, then undock in your capsule and find a WT ... bingo!) |

It's funny how fast DUST mercs can travel around New Eden... But one have to admit that's just their consciousness bouncing around from one generic disposable battle clone to another. Available almost for free in unlimited quantities. Currently all their gear is assembled on-the-go by nanities from their BPCs and BPOs. DUST BPCs and BPOs seems to be of electronic format that's always with you no matter where you are....
For FW matches it's almost a struck of luck to make it fast enough in your ship before match ends. It's only deterministic for PC matches... F.E.A.R. stands for False Expectations Assumed Real http://www.mannymolecular.com/mind-emotion/42-exploring-fear |
