Hi guys
I am a newbie here and this is my first post. I was looking through the missions tab and saw the level 1-5 missions. Currently i can only do level 1 missions (20days old). So i was just wondering what kind of standings do i need to unlock higher level missions? Besides that, i really want to know what kind of mission is most profitable provided that i really like small ship skirmishes and exploration features of EVE online.
Thanks guys!! |

Level 1 - any Level 2 - 1.0 Level 3 - 3.0 Level 4 - 5.0 Level 5 - 7.0
Level 4s tend to be the most profitable as L5s are low sec only and are rather risky... The Drake is a Lie |

Maybe you should also try Faction Warfare. |

There is some sort of skill you can train to improve your standings quickly, if I remember right. At 20 days old it seems like you could probably be doing level 2s by now if you really wanted to.
The endgame for most mission runners is to buy a big expensive battleship and run level 4 security missions. Usually followed shortly by quitting EVE from boredom. Because mission running is one of the lowest fun/hour activities that you could be doing in this game. everevolutionaryfront.blogspot.com |

Training "social" and especially "connections" will give you access to higher level missions much faster. Make sure you are running missions for agents of the same corporation, so your standing isn't spread out among many corporations.
As Maethilar suggested, Faction warfare has many small ship skirmish opportunities with other players while providing ample amounts of isk for running plexes. If you have any interest in PvP, it's a good place to start. www.ensignyooch.wordpress.com |

If you like exploration and small skirmishes, you can skip missions entirely and just focus on the parts of the game you enjoy.
I do recommend running missions until you can handle level 3 ones as a way to learn the game interface. But then, move on and only run missions when you have a specific goal in mind (such as 'trick someone into joining my corp to help me complete this mission, then shoot my new friend and take their stuff').
If you train Connections to level 3 (only a few hours), you can get straight into level 2 missions, which with one or two exceptions are relatively easy in a Destroyer and trivial in a Cruiser. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. The difference between an enemy and a friend is that you stab your enemies in the front. |

I love your examples Sabriz. They are always so refreshingly cutthroat. Because you disdained all my counsel, and my reproof you ignoredGÇö I, in my turn, will laugh at your doom; will mock when terror overtakes you; -- Ultimate Griefer's Handbook |

Welcome to EVE. Everyone here is an enemy, a rival, or a resource.

He/she managed to do it once. Big deal. Seems, that he/she was so amased, that it worked, that now posts that one sad story all over and over again. No one is trusting Sabriz now and that is her main achievment. It takes much more to gain the trust, than to make fun out of ppl, who trusted you, IMHO. |

You can see your standings with a faction by going to the 'standings' tab on your character sheet.
You can see the individual transactions to see how much your standings go up by each mission by right clicking on the individual faction.
If you 'show info' on a faction, there is a tab that tells you where all their agents are. Wish I'd known about THAT a month ago.
So you can get to standing 1 and then look up where to find a level 2 agent to run those.
Also, level 2 missions are difficult in a destroyer. Some are easy but some are INSANELY DIFFICULT without the exact proper fit for the mission. I run a Cat and I've had to call in assistance from corpmates a couple times. |

There's also the Agent Finder, which makes it very easy to find all relevant agents, sorted by distance.

Wow, Sabriz managed to get New Citizens Q&A tears, that's pretty special. Why don't you go post in GD or C&P where we can troll you properly?
EVE is a pretty cutthroat game, actually, which is why many of us continue to play it. If you just want to join a friendly guild and go run around doing quests and slaying NPCs, then you will probably find this game distinctly lacking in content. The things that distinguish EVE among MMOs are the thefts, the murders, the scams, intrigue deception and betrayal. You don't need to do these things to enjoy EVE, but they are legitimate and entertaining gameplay. everevolutionaryfront.blogspot.com |

It's interesting that the idea that I might have several alts engaged in similar work never crosses the mind of my detractor here. https://forums.eveonline.com/default.aspx?g=posts&t=238931 - an idea for a new form of hybrid PVE/PVP content. An enemy is just a friend that you stab in the front. |
